Internal restructuring at Coritiba occurs during the calendar break and involves changes led by SAF since 2023, with cuts in administrative, commercial, and communication areas, while the club does not officially confirm the total number of professionals dismissed.
Coritiba began an administrative reorganization during the break of the Brazilian Championship for the World Cup and promoted dismissals in different areas of the club on Monday, June 1, 2026.
The estimate gathered by Banda B indicates that the number of departures could reach 90 professionals, but the club has not officially confirmed this amount nor released a public list with names and positions affected.
According to information published by ge, the movement reached sectors such as communication, administration, marketing, finance, operations, B2B, and B2C, all linked to the club’s internal functioning structure.

The measure occurs in the context of Coritiba’s adaptation to the Football Corporation model, initiated in 2023, when the new management undertook changes in football and administrative departments.
In a statement, Coritiba classified the measure as part of a stage of its strategic planning and stated that it carried out a “reorganization in its administrative structure”.
In the same statement, the club said that the action focused on “greater efficiency, strengthening management, and operational sustainability”, without providing details about criteria, affected departments, or the total number of employees dismissed.
Coritiba makes cuts during Brasileirão break
During the national calendar break, Coritiba made internal changes in a period without official games, while SAF advanced in administrative adjustments linked to the management model implemented since 2023.
According to Banda B, the dismissals were still ongoing throughout Monday, June 1, when the estimate of up to 90 departures began to circulate.
Although not using the word dismissal in the statement, the official note mentioned “adjustments in the composition of some areas” and thanked the professionals who participated in the institution’s recent journey.
The management presented the cuts as part of an administrative reorganization process, associated in the statement with the pursuit of efficiency, strengthening management, and operational sustainability.
Other vehicles also reported different numbers about the initial reach of the restructuring, indicating a lack of a single public confirmation about the total size of the measure.
UmDois Esportes reported that more than 15 employees were dismissed, while Bem Paraná mentioned about 15 departures on that Monday, without official confirmation from the club about the final number.
Since Coritiba did not disclose the total number of dismissals, the estimate of up to 90 professionals remains attributed to Banda B’s investigation, while other journalistic surveys record smaller numbers in the initial stage.
For this reason, the publicly confirmed information is that there were cuts in different departments, with reports that the process was ongoing during Monday.
Administrative areas enter the restructuring
The changes reached departments linked to the club’s operational routine, as well as areas associated with institutional communication, administrative operation, and commercial relations.
Communication, marketing, administration, operations, and commercial sectors appear among the departments mentioned in the investigations published about the reorganization, within the administrative redesign conducted by SAF.
In the official statement, Coritiba stated that since 2023, it has been undergoing “important transformations, both in football and in its administrative areas”.
The management also declared that the adjustments are aligned with the organizational model adopted by the club, without informing which functions were eliminated, redistributed, or incorporated by other areas.
Besides the dismissals, Coritiba’s SAF is going through a transition period in its executive leadership, according to information released by ge.
According to the portal, the structure has been operating without a definitive CEO since the departure of Lucas de Paula in April 2026, and the process of cuts was aligned between representatives of Treecorp, OutField, and Grupo Del Valle.
This circumstance is part of the administrative environment in which the reorganization was announced, although the club has not officially linked the absence of a definitive CEO to the dismissals.
The measure was communicated during the national calendar break, amid the process of continuing the changes initiated with SAF in football and internal areas.
SAF associates measure with efficiency and sustainability
Coritiba’s note states that the reorganization results from investments made in recent years in infrastructure, technology, and internal processes.
According to the club, there was also progress in the integration between areas and in the improvement of processes, with the aim of creating foundations to support its institutional evolution.
The official statement records that the club “recognizes and appreciates the dedication, professionalism, and contribution of the professionals who participated in this journey”.
The phrase is the main mention of the dismissed professionals, as the statement does not present names, positions, specific departments, or criteria used to define the departures.
The word “transparency” also appears in the statement released by the management, although Coritiba has not informed the official number of dismissals nor detailed the new composition of the areas.
Without public confirmation of the total number of dismissals, the estimate of up to 90 professionals remains linked to Banda B’s investigation, while other publications report lower numbers at the start of the restructuring.
In different journalistic investigations, the reorganization was related to the advancement of the administrative model implemented after the arrival of SAF at the club.
Coritiba, in turn, describes the decision as part of the continuation of the planning started in 2023, without treating the measure as an isolated action within the internal structure.
Club does not detail names and positions
Until the release of the available information, Coritiba had not published a list of dismissed professionals nor officially detailed which positions were affected by the restructuring.
UmDois Esportes cited the departure of Henrique Guidi, Communication and Institutional Relations Manager, hired in October 2025, among the names affected by the changes.
The lack of an official list prevents accurately measuring the impact of the reorganization in each department and also makes it difficult to identify the final number of dismissed professionals.
Even so, the areas mentioned in the investigations indicate that the cuts were not concentrated in a single sector and reached different fronts of the club’s administration.
The decision was made while Coritiba continues the process of consolidating the SAF structure inside and outside the football department.
In the statement, the club stated that it will continue working “with responsibility and transparency” to deliver a stronger and more prepared institution for the future, maintaining the version that the adjustments are part of the strategic planning.
In the administrative practice described by the investigations, the reorganization places Coritiba in the group of clubs that use breaks in the calendar to review internal structures and adapt departments to the private management model.
The total size of the cuts and how the new administrative composition will look after the departure of the dismissed professionals remains without official confirmation.
