State Government of Paraná Launches Credit Line for Young Entrepreneurs Aiming to Increase Job Creation in the State

The state of Paraná is one of the states with the highest number of young entrepreneurs in Brazil. With this in mind, Governor Ratinho Junior launched the Young Entrepreneur program, aimed at promoting projects created by young people in the state.

The project is called Young Entrepreneur, which operates in partnership with the Secretariat of Justice, Family and Labor, the Regional Development Bank of the Extreme South (BRDE), and Fomento Paraná. The idea of the project is to release lines of credit to encourage job creation through businesses run by young people aged between 18 and 29 years old.

Governor Ratinho Junior emphasized the importance of the project for job creation in the state of Paraná through businesses run by young people.

We want to assist young people who are starting their business and having their first opportunity as an entrepreneur, or the young person who already has their business running and wishes to expand it. This is a subsidized credit line, which means that, in the financial market, it will not have such low interest.”

How the Credit Line Works

The BRDE credit lines can be used in various ways, such as for expanding works and installations, working capital, training, equipment purchases, and much more. With this, it is expected that job creation in the state of Paraná will increase, as well as the growth of the benefited companies.

What Is the Value of the Credits?

The credit amount varies significantly among segments. For microfinance, the amount available is up to R$ 200 thousand; for rural producers, it is up to R$ 1 million; and for micro, small, and medium enterprises, the amount can reach R$ 5 million.

Wilson Bley Lipski, director of finance at BRDE, highlighted that the release of credit for this target audience is essential to help reverse the effects of the pandemic on this age group with job creation: “We see that, generally, people aged 18 to 29 are the ones who have the most difficulty finding a job and entering the labor market.”

The credit line can be requested at the BRDE headquarters, by prior appointment, or online through the website www.brde.com.br.
