Each blade measures over 150 meters, the complete rotor has a diameter of three football fields, and a single unit generates energy for 30,000 homes — China is building the most powerful wind turbine in the world, with 22 megawatts.
According to the company’s president, Victor Lima, the production capacity can be doubled with the implementation of a second shift, which will allow the factory to reach its full potential and increase its operational efficiency.
One of the unit’s differentiators will be the use of local grains such as corn, millet, sorghum, and soybeans, integrating the agro-industrial production of the region.
In addition, the factory features an advanced automation process, capable of producing up to 30 tons of feed per hour, placing it among the most modern in the country.
The structure also includes a battery of extruders that will process up to eight tons of soybeans per hour, reinforcing the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability.
Expansion Of Poultry Farming And New Projects
The feed factory in Altos will not only reinforce the poultry production chain of Atlântica Agroindustrial but will also enable the company to expand its operations in the regional market, especially in Maranhão.
According to Victor Lima, the strategic location of the municipality of Altos was one of the determining factors for the choice of the site, as it facilitates the logistics of product distribution and optimizes entry into new markets.
“Our goal with the feed factory is to strengthen our competitiveness through local feed production, which is the link of the most competitive chain, and with that expand our poultry production capacity along with our partners. Finally, to establish in the state a farm for commercial egg production,” says Victor Lima.
The expansion project demonstrates Atlântica’s commitment to sustainable development and strengthening poultry farming in the region.
In addition to boosting feed production and strengthening poultry farming in Piauí, the venture by Atlântica Agroindustrial will also bring significant benefits to the local economy. With the generation of 100 new direct jobs, the company will contribute to the creation of new employment opportunities and the socioeconomic development of the region.
