United Arab Emirates and Brazil Join Forces to Produce Long-Range Missiles at a New Factory in São Paulo. The Partnership Was Established Between EDGE Group and SIATT, Aiming to Compete With France, the No. 1 in the Defense Market.
Brazil may become one of the world’s leading producers of long-range missiles, thanks to a partnership between the Brazilian company SIATT and the Arab group EDGE Group. SIATT, which already manufactures smart weapons for the Brazilian Armed Forces, received a US$ 3 billion investment from EDGE Group, which acquired 50% of its capital last year. The investment will be used to build a weapons factory in São José dos Campos, in the interior of São Paulo, which will cover 7,000 square meters and generate 200 direct jobs.
Billion-Dollar Partnership Between SIATT and EDGE Group Promises to Revolutionize the Missile Market With a New Factory
The new factory will focus on the development and production of long-range missiles that can reach targets up to 70 kilometers away.
This type of weaponry is strategic for the naval defense, as it allows for the neutralization of threats before they approach the coast.

The Arab Conglomerate Backs Brazilian Long-Range Missile Technology
EDGE Group, in turn, is a conglomerate of 25 companies controlled by the government of the United Arab Emirates, operating in the defense and security sector.
The group was established in 2019, following the UAE’s exit from the war in Yemen, and aims to become one of the world leaders in defense solutions.
The partnership with SIATT aims to expand the long-range missile market, which is currently dominated by the French company MDBA, which manufactures a missile capable of reaching 200 kilometers.
The missile factory of EDGE Group and SIATT is expected to start operations in 2026 and promises to place Brazil at the forefront of defense technology.
The project is also expected to strengthen trade and diplomatic relations between Brazil and the United Arab Emirates, which are strategic partners in the Middle East region.
