Dislub Equador Group Partners with Pecém Complex for the Construction of a Fuel Storage Park with a Capacity of 60 Million Liters and Will Generate Over 450 Direct and Indirect Jobs.
Dislub Equador Group signed a pre-contract with the Pecém Complex this Tuesday (17), for a storage park, that is, storage of liquid fuels such as gasoline, diesel, and ethanol, to be installed in the port terminal area of Pecém. Dislub Equador Group will invest R$ 300 million, with about R$ 200 million being applied in the first phase. Additionally, the project will create 350 jobs during construction and another 100 positions during its operation.

According to Sérgio Lins, CEO of Dislub Equador, the storage park, which promises to generate hundreds of jobs, will have an initial storage capacity of 60 million liters of gasoline, diesel, and ethanol, aiming to optimize the logistics of the fuel market in Ceará.

The company’s executive emphasizes that the Pecém Complex has unique and ideal characteristics for the Storage Park to go into operation, generating hundreds of jobs.
According to Lins, the infrastructure of the berths, with one of the best depths in the country, combined with the fact that the tanks will be installed in a strategic area without any risk to the urban community, makes the Pecém Complex the best location to continue and expand fuel distribution activities in the state.
The CEO of Pecém Complex, Danilo Serpa, reinforces that the new business of Dislub Equador Group will stimulate the state market. Serpa also states that the arrival of the gasoline, diesel, and ethanol storage park will bring greater cost competitiveness, aiming not only for a reduction in prices but mainly expanding the level of fuel distribution service in the state and region.
Ceará Has One of the Highest Gasoline Prices in the Country
In three weeks, the average price of a liter of gasoline in Ceará increased by R$ 0.27. The price rose from R$ 7.40 to R$ 7.67 at the pumps. This is the 4th highest cost for the fuel among Brazilian states.
The state is behind only Piauí (R$ 8.12), Bahia (R$ 7.78), and Rio de Janeiro (R$ 7.81). According to data from the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels (ANP), collected from 196 gas stations in Ceará between the 8th and 14th of this month, the price fluctuated greatly. In April, the price was R$ 7.404, on May 1 it was already R$ 7.649, and by the 8th of this month, the price had reached R$ 7.671.
