Increase in Demand for Jobs in the Call Center Sector
For the manager of Contact Center, Sanderley Lima, there has been an expansion in the job vacancy offer in the Call Center, as well as its service capacity being 99.7%, making up to 1.1 million calls monthly. In addition to serving the population of Piauí, the State’s Contact Center also serves six other states where the Equatorial Energy Group operates: Maranhão, Alagoas, Pará, Rio Grande do Sul, Goiás, and Amapá.
Lima states that the generation of job and income opportunities happens through the expansion of its Contact Center in Piauí, thus providing 700 positions to serve the state’s customers, while covering the entire concession area, which represents 31% of the national territory. Therefore, job vacancies have already begun to be made available, with 150 people being hired and by the end of the second semester, all will be called.
Jobs in the Construction Sector Will Be Designated for Solar Plant Works
Echoenergia, the clean energy generation and sales platform of the Equatorial Group, has started construction of a photovoltaic solar complex in Ribeiro Gonçalves.
According to Tinn Amado, CEO of Echoenergia, the sustainable project will occupy an area of 400 hectares and will have an installed capacity of 223.2 MW. Thus, the complex will contribute to the expansion and diversification of the company’s energy matrix in Brazil, through renewable sources.
According to Amado, it is a solar energy park, consisting of seven companies, totaling about 220 MW, enough to supply 320,000 families. It is an investment of R$ 1 billion, which is essential for the state, considering that 1,000 job vacancies in the construction sector will be generated, in addition to the generation and sale of energy.
The government of Piauí has been a great supporter in the process, both in the environmental and land aspects. The expectation is that Piauí will further develop in the sale of renewable energy, in generating income and jobs that the sector brings to the entire society.
