A new competition for the Municipal Civil Guard opened registrations this Tuesday (18). In total, there are 30 immediate vacancies for high school graduates and 90 for a reserve list in the Municipality of Coelho Neto, in Maranhão. This could be a unique opportunity for those seeking financial stability.
Know Who Can Participate In The Municipal Civil Guard Competition
The new competition with vacancies for high school level is intended for the City Hall of Coelho Neto, in the state of Maranhão, and aims to hire, through public competition, 30 new civil guards, of both sexes, to reinforce the public safety of the city. Of the total vacancies, 19 are for general competition, 2 are for people with disabilities, 3 for female candidates, and another 6 for black individuals.
Those interested in competing in the Municipal Civil Guard competition must have completed high school, a national driver’s license, and be at least 21 years old.

It is worth mentioning that the announcement does not stipulate a maximum age for participants. The starting salary for the high school positions is R$ 1,800 for a 40-hour workweek.
Interested candidates for the Municipal Civil Guard competition must also be a natural-born or naturalized Brazilian, be at least 18 years of age at the time of appointment, have a minimum height of 1.55 meters for women and 1.62 m for men, be up to date with military service obligations for males, have their situation regularized before the Electoral Justice, be in full enjoyment of their political and civil rights, possess physical and mental fitness, and not be a person with disabilities incompatible with the performance of the position, upon confirmation by a medical admission exam.
Main Responsibilities Of The Vacancies For High School Level
The approved candidates in the Municipal Civil Guard competition will be responsible for carrying out permanent preventive patrolling in the Municipality’s territory for the protection of the population, acting alongside the community with the aim of reducing violence and criminality, promoting conflict mediation and respect for citizens’ fundamental rights.
They also prevent and deter criminal acts that threaten municipal assets, services, and facilities, prioritizing school safety. They support and ensure the Municipality’s enforcement actions related to the use of administrative police power, ensuring the preservation of safety and public order at events held in the city, as well as participating in operations and services for which the municipality is responsible when requested.
Additionally, among their responsibilities, they must report to their superiors any incidents observed during their work hours, operate video monitoring systems, and monitor surveillance in public thoroughfares, among other activities.
Know How To Participate In The Municipal Civil Guard Competition
Registrations for the high school vacancies will begin on March 18 and run until April 9, through the Consulpam website, the organizing body of the selection process. The registration fee is R$ 80. The Municipal Civil Guard competition consists of an objective test, physical fitness test, psychological assessment, social research, anthropometric and medical evaluation, and a training course.
The objective test will consist of 40 multiple-choice questions, with four alternatives each (A to D). The questions cover Portuguese Language, Mathematics, Specific Knowledge of Traffic Legislation, Citizenship, and Basic Knowledge of Constitutional and Criminal Law.
The physical fitness test aims to assess the candidate’s ability to perform efforts and resistance to physical fatigue, aiming to select those who meet the necessary conditions for the performance of the position.
