A resident of the U.S. state of Indiana decided to take an automotive experiment to the extreme. Cody Detwiler, known online as WhistlinDiesel, installed 17 turbos in his truck to achieve an absurd power of 38,000 horsepower.
The outcome, however, was predictable. Everything was documented in a video that is available on YouTube with audio in Portuguese.
The Radical Experiment
Cody is famous for conducting extreme tests on vehicles. Before the modification, the truck was tested with 397 horsepower.

With the turbos activated, the truck instantly reached 15 pounds per square inch of boost. However, not everything went as planned.
Functionality Issues
Right at the beginning of the tests, the truck began to emit thick smoke. Visibility was compromised, making driving dangerous.
Amid the chaos, the brake line was accidentally cut, a problem that seems to be recurring in WhistlinDiesel’s experiments.
Despite this, the team still considered the test a success, as the vehicle remained operational for some time.
Unexpected Fire?
The truck eventually caught fire. But, considering Cody’s experiment history, few were surprised.
The test ended in a predictable manner, confirming the risks of extreme modifications to vehicles.
Even after this outcome, the team still had time to hold a competition between the smallest and largest truck in the group. The unusual challenge was yet another highlight of the experiment.
The case reinforces the limits of automotive engineering and the risks of extreme projects. For many, the true result was already anticipated from the beginning.
