Honda Launches New Economical Motorcycle in the Indian Market with Potential to Reach Brazil, Positioning Itself as a Strong Competitor in the Segment Below R$ 4 Thousand.
Honda surprises by launching a cheap motorcycle priced below R$ 4 thousand, generating great enthusiasm among motorcyclists. With this competitive price, the new motorcycle has the potential to revolutionize the market. Recognized worldwide for its reliability and excellence, Honda makes this launch even more attractive for consumers.
Motorcycle Below R$ 4 Thousand May Arrive in the Brazilian Market
According to information from the brand’s official press, Honda stirred the Indian market by introducing the Shine 100, a remarkable motorcycle not only for its competitive price but also for being the most accessible and economical model of the brand in the country with an electric start system.
With a price set at 64,900 rupees, about R$ 3.8 thousand, the Shine 100 positions itself as a highly competitive option in the market. This value is significantly lower compared to Honda’s most economical model in Brazil, the Pop 110i, which has an initial price of R$ 9,010, excluding shipping costs.

Chevrolet Tornado Van 2026 emerges as a compact van cheaper than many popular cars in Brazil, with a 1.5 engine, 6-speed manual transmission, 650 kg load capacity, 3.3 m³ of usable space, and fuel consumption of up to 18.1 km/l for about R$ 87,000 in tax-free conversion; an urban utility vehicle that Brazilians don’t have, but Mexico does.

Forget the basic popular car: used sedans like Passat CC, Kia Cerato, Nissan Altima, Mitsubishi Lancer, and Volvo S60 show that it’s still possible to buy more performance, comfort, and technology for less than many new compacts.

Used Honda Civic: 3 versions of the Japanese sedan with naturally aspirated engines of up to 155 hp, fuel consumption of up to 13.8 km/l, robust automatic transmission, and a reputation for reliable mechanics still dominate the used car market in Brazil.

Toyota Hilux becomes a ‘cargo truck’: automaker declares a new era for the pickup with greater capacity, reinforced chassis, 2.8 turbodiesel engine, raised suspension, 1,525 kg load capacity, and targets Ford Ranger Super Duty, which tows an impressive 4,500 kg.
Moreover, recent rumors in Brazil point to an intriguing development: patents for the Shine 100 have been registered by Honda with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). This suggests that the motorcycle, recently launched in India for less than R$ 4 thousand, may soon make its presence felt in the Brazilian market, as reported by the motor1 portal.
Honda Does Not Disclose Many Details About Model
Although the idea of a cheap Honda motorcycle for almost half the price of the Pop 110i is exciting, it is important to keep expectations in check. The images of the patent registrations do not provide many details, thus reducing the chances of the cheap Shine 100 being launched in the Brazilian market.
The arrival of Honda’s motorcycle in Brazil is met with skepticism, as the patent images show that the model being sold in the Indian market has not undergone modifications.
Features such as the front license plate holder positioned below the headlight, the wheel guard, and the chain guard indicate that the vehicle may not have been adjusted to meet the specifics of the Brazilian market. Additionally, it is questionable whether Honda would introduce a model priced lower than the Pop 110i, one of the best-selling and most recognized motorcycles in the country. Therefore, even with the generated enthusiasm, the debut of the Shine 100 in Brazil is still an unknown.
Honda Launching Affordable Motorcycles in the Market
In addition to the notable motorcycle priced below R$ 4 thousand, Honda revealed the new models CRF 1100 L Africa Twin and Africa Twin Adventure Sports, set to launch in 2024. These vehicles bring significant visual, electronic, and mechanical updates.
It is important to note that Honda maintained the inline two-cylinder engine and 1,084 cc. In the European market, the power reaches 102 horsepower at 7,500 rpm, while in Brazil, due to homologation regulations, it is 99.3 horsepower.
According to official information from Honda, the suggested price for the 2024 CRF1100L Africa Twin in the UK is £13,199, which corresponds to approximately R$ 83.3 thousand in direct conversion.
Among the new features of the model, there is an increase in maximum torque, which went from 10.5 kgfm to 11.2 kgfm. Additionally, the peak torque is now reached at 5,500 rpm, instead of the previous 6,250 rpm.
