Honda Motorcycles Launches A New Innovative Model, Positioning Itself To Lead The Market. The Motorcycle, Sold For R$ 7 Thousand, Offers An Exceptional 10-Year Warranty For Customers.
This year, Honda introduced a new motorcycle model to the Indian market with an innovative proposal, aiming to attract a larger number of customers. The highlight of the motorcycle, named SP160, is the extended warranty of up to 10 years, a remarkable differentiator in the segment. This model, with its 160 cc, bears similarities to the CG160, popular in the Brazilian market, but stands out with its more modern lines and a range of additional features, promising to be an attractive option for motorcycle enthusiasts.
Get To Know The New Honda Motorcycle Better
According to the manufacturer’s data, the new Honda motorcycle not only features LED headlights and taillights, ABS brakes, and a digital panel but also has several additional advantages worth checking out. The SP160 has a 162.7 cm³ single-cylinder engine working in conjunction with a 5-speed gearbox, delivering a configuration similar to that of the CG 160, but with a difference: the use of gasoline and torque output is lower, at 13.2 hp at 7,500 rpm and 1.48 kgfm at 5,500 rpm compared to 15.1 hp and 1.54 kgfm delivered by the flex fuel used in the CG160.
At first, there is no indication that the new Honda motorcycle will come to Brazil, as the Honda motorcycle was developed to be sold in India; however, it would be a great option to replace the CG160, considering safety, for example, there are two brake options: the single disc, which features a 276 mm disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, and the dual disc option, which has discs on both wheels, one of 276 mm at the front and 220 mm at the rear tire, both equipped with ABS.

Honda Motorcycle Model Is Sold For R$ 7 Thousand
The design of the new Honda motorcycle is more detailed and features a slightly sportier fairing, different from the simple CG. Even the passenger grab handle has a slightly redesigned look. Its wheels are equipped with 80/100 R17 tires at the front and 130/70 R17 at the rear. Its tank can hold up to 12 L.
An interesting highlight is that Honda Motorcycles maintained the kick-start system on the vehicle. This is a common feature in the Indian market, in addition to the electric start. As for the price, in India, the new Honda motorcycle is priced around 117,500 rupees, which converts to approximately R$ 7 thousand, offering very good cost-benefit considering that the SP160 is quite similar to the Brazilian CG160. The warranty is for 3 years, which can be extended for an additional 7 years should the customer choose to do so.
Honda Rival Brings Accessible Models To The Market
Honda is well-known for being one of the major vehicle manufacturers and one of the most beloved in Brazil. However, the cheapest motorcycle is by its rival, Shineray, with the Worker 125 model. According to data, this model is being sold for R$ 8,490, featuring a 123.67 cm³ engine, 7.2 horsepower, and 0.80 kgfm torque, making it a vehicle that could attract a large audience.
The advantages do not stop there, extending to a 4-speed manual transmission, disc brakes at the front, and drum brakes at the rear. Additionally, the rival motorcycle model also features electric and kick start. Originally introduced in 2021, the model is priced around R$ 8,490, which makes it a great alternative.
