Difference between suggested price and real value draws attention
Although there is an official price defined by the manufacturer, it is not mandatory at dealerships. The so-called suggested public price serves only as an initial reference.
In practice, the prices applied in stores include additional costs and commercial decisions. Therefore, even the cheapest option found is already about 12.95% higher than the recommended price. In the most expensive scenario, the difference reaches 58.3%.

One of the main reasons for price variation lies in the freedom dealerships have to set their own values.
This sales model is permitted by Brazilian legislation, which prevents direct sales from the manufacturer to the final consumer. Thus, each store can apply different margins, resulting in varied prices across the country.
Additional costs impact the price of the Honda Pop
In addition to the autonomy of the stores, the final price includes a series of charges that increase the motorcycle’s price.
Among the main factors are:
- Freight to the dealership
- Administrative fees
- Operational costs
- Retailers’ profit margin
These elements help explain why the actual price is usually higher than the suggested price.
Survey analyzed Brazilian capitals
The survey that identified price variation considered authorized dealerships in several capitals. In total, 17 of the 27 stores consulted provided information.
The data shows that the North and Northeast regions tend to have higher prices, while some capitals in the Southeast and South record lower prices. Nevertheless, all analyzed cities show prices above the suggested price.
New version may further increase prices
Another relevant point is the arrival of the 2027 version of the Honda Pop. In some regions, the 2026 model is still available, with a suggested price of R$ 10,380.
The update brought a R$ 200 increase in the recommended price, which could further impact prices at dealerships. As a result, there is an expectation that prices will continue to vary depending on model availability.
The price difference generated questions among consumers, especially on social media. Many pointed out the difficulty of finding the model at the suggested price.
This scenario reinforces the need for attention at the time of purchase, as the advertised price does not always reflect the final cost.
What to consider before buying a Honda Pop?
Given the price variation, some precautions can help the consumer:
- Research prices in different cities
- Check fees included in the price
- Confirm the available version
- Evaluate payment conditions
These measures help to better understand the real cost of the vehicle. Even with the price difference, the Honda Pop remains a popular option in Brazil. However, the current scenario shows that consumers need to carefully analyze the purchase conditions.
