Job Requirements and Responsibilities
To apply for the position, it is necessary to have a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy and an active registration with the Regional Pharmacy Council (CRF).
The selected professional will be responsible for various essential activities for the functioning of the hospital pharmacy, including:
Supervising the team and the dispensing of materials and medications;
Updating operational procedures and the pharmacy’s good practices manual;
Participating in training and events aimed at improving the sector;
Evaluating medical prescriptions to detect possible errors;
Guiding nursing teams on the correct use of medications;
Managing the return of materials and medications to stock;
Supervising the fractionating and labeling of medications;
Controlling stocks, expiration dates, and temperatures of medications.
The professional will also oversee the correct disposal of health waste, the request for strategic medications (such as those used in the treatment of HIV and tuberculosis), and the management of material loans to other health institutions.
