With 142,891 units registered in 2025 and about 68.7 thousand in 2026 until last month, the Fiat Strada maintains strength in the Brazilian market by combining a 1.3 flex engine, 130 hp turbo option, single or double cabin, and a cargo bed of up to 1,354 liters
The Fiat Strada sustains its strength in the Brazilian market with a direct combination of well-known mechanics, turbo option, load capacity, and generous cargo bed. The pickup, which closed 2025 as the best-selling vehicle in the country, gathers versions aimed at work, family use, and small business.
In the entry-level configurations, the Strada uses the 1.3 Firefly flex four-cylinder engine, capable of delivering up to 107 horsepower with ethanol and 13.7 kgfm of torque. The set always works with a five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive.
For those seeking more performance and comfort in urban use, the pickup also offers the 1.0 Turbo 200 Flex engine. This option develops up to 130 horsepower and 20.4 kgfm of torque, associated with a CVT automatic transmission that simulates seven gears.

Cargo bed and load capacity reinforce utility proposal
Besides the engine, the transport capacity remains one of the main arguments of the Fiat Strada. In the single cabin version, the pickup can carry up to about 720 kg of payload. In the double cabin versions, the capacity varies between 650 kg and 680 kg.
The cargo bed volume also changes depending on the chosen configuration. In the single cabin, it reaches 1,354 liters, while in the double cabin it is 844 liters. This difference helps explain the model’s presence in varied usage profiles, from commercial activities to family routines.
The Strada also has towing capacity. The model can tow up to 400 kg without brakes and up to 700 kg when the trailer has its own braking system.
Equipment helps in daily use
The pickup features electric steering, electronic stability control, hill start assist, and tire pressure monitoring system. Structurally, it uses independent front suspension of the McPherson type and a rigid rear axle with leaf springs.
This set reinforces the proposal of a vehicle aimed at different needs. The Strada occupies space as a work car, family vehicle, and option for those who need a business model, without giving up daily use.
The automaker works this versatility especially among micro-entrepreneurs and service providers. The pickup truck appears as an alternative for those who previously might have needed a second car at home, as it combines a cabin, cargo bed, considered low maintenance, and versions for different budgets.
Leadership pressures competitors
The commercial performance shows the weight of the Strada in the market. In 2025, the pickup truck closed the year as the best-selling vehicle in Brazil, with 142,891 units registered, according to data from Fenabrave.
The result kept the model at the top for the fifth consecutive year. In 2026, up until last month, the Strada totaled approximately 68.7 thousand units registered. Among the monthly results already released, there were 16,706 units in March, 14,905 in April, and 15,395 in May, the month of best performance for the model in the mentioned period.
The strength of the pickup truck also moves the competition. The base material cites the need for the renewal of the Saveiro by Volkswagen, the Chevrolet Montana in a higher position, with a larger and more refined product, and the arrival of a competitor from BYD next year, smaller than the new Mako.
