CEAR/UFPB Comments on Huawei’s Free Courses
In this same context, CEAR/UFPB Director Euler Macêdo also recognized how educational initiatives have transformed society, with over 240 people already graduated from Huawei’s courses. According to the director, the goal was to achieve 40 international certifications, and by the end of the ICT Academy project, 86 were reached. Euler states that doubling this goal left everyone satisfied.
Moreover, his student Lucas Gudes was one of the finalists in the international Seeds for the Future program. According to Edmond Farhat from Grupo Rio Alto, everyone benefits from this partnership, especially the students. Farhat claims that teenagers entering college at 18 or 19 years old can take what they learn and apply it in the private sector.
The partnership with academia is of utmost importance, not only for the university but also for the country. “There is no point in being trapped within the walls of the university and not bringing that to society,” Euler Macêdo pointed out.
