With The Aim Of Reducing Expenses, The Bahian Government Will Invest In The Installation Of Solar Energy In The My House My Life Program
Through the Municipal Secretary of Government Communication, residents of the housing complexes in the My House My Life program were informed this week that they will receive a considerable discount on their electricity bills with the use of solar energy. The project was presented this Wednesday (28) by Alfredo Eduardo dos Santos, the current National Secretary of Housing, who explained in detail the project for the implementation of solar energy in the houses and condominiums of the housing program, as well as the municipality’s role in this project.

This initiative came from the Ministry Of Regional Development in partnership with the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation And Development of Germany and the Municipal Government of Feira de Santana.
Residents who are part of the program can already start celebrating, as they will save money on their electricity bills. With the aim of reducing expenses, the Bahian government along with the municipality of Feira de Santana will invest in the installation of solar energy in a large part of the housing units of the MCMV still in 2021. It is estimated that at least 90% of these housing units will be receiving the installation of solar energy panels in their homes by the end of this year.

Energy Efficiency Program In Sustainable Urban Development
The installation of solar energy panels is part of the Energy Efficiency Program In Sustainable Urban Development. The project aims to reduce electricity expenses in a large part of the housing units considered of social interest, including those of the My House, My Life program.
The My House, My Life Program was created to subsidize the acquisition of a home or apartment for families with incomes up to 1,800. Launched in March 2009 by the Lula Government, currently the program was renamed to Green And Yellow House by the Bolsonaro government.
