Almost a year after showcasing the new Hyundai Kona Hybrid in Brazil, the South Korean brand confirms the arrival of the crossover in the national market in April. In its second generation, the new Hyundai SUV will come in the HEV version, combining gasoline and 100% electric motors. Thus, the hybrid SUV aims to compete mainly with the Toyota Corolla Cross and Song Pro, with prices that challenge other Asian models.
Measurements of the Hyundai Kona Hybrid
The new Hyundai SUV will reach the Brazilian market in Signature and Ultimate configurations. Both configurations of the hybrid SUV offer five color options: Atlas White, Abyss Black Pearl, Ecotronic Matte Gray, Metallic Cyber Gray, and Pearl Gray.
Additionally, the interior of the rival to the Corolla Cross and Song Pro can have black or gray finishes. In the statement, the South Korean brand claims that the model will have specifications and measurements that position it strongly in the higher categories.

Interior of the New Hybrid SUV Also Impresses
Inside, the new Hyundai Kona Hybrid also promises to deliver modernity. One of the highlights is the dashboard with two integrated 12.3-inch screens at the top.
Both are Full HD and configurable. There is also a wireless phone charger, power-adjustable driver’s seat, and wireless connectivity via Apple Carplay and Android Auto. The Signature version of the new Hyundai SUV includes an electric sunroof, ambient lighting, leather upholstery on the seats, and electric activation for the parking brake and trunk lid.

To top it off, the hybrid SUV rival to the Corolla Cross and Song Pro will come packed with semi-autonomous features. The model includes automatic emergency braking, blind spot warning, rear cross-traffic monitoring, lane-keeping and centering assist, adaptive cruise control, and obstacle sensors. Additionally, the Signature version adds blind spot monitoring, the same feature present in the Hyundai Creta, and 360° view cameras.
New Hyundai Kona Hybrid Delivers Power of Up to 141 hp
The new generation of the Hyundai SUV features similar mechanics to that of the Corolla Cross; however, only gasoline. The 1.6 Kappa engine boasts direct injection (GDI) and works with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT) along with an electric motor powered by a 1.32 kWh lithium-ion battery.
According to Hyundai, the new hybrid SUV rival to the Corolla Cross and Song Pro has received an A rating for fuel consumption from Inmetro. The combined power is 141 hp, while the maximum torque is 27 kgfm.
