The Brazilian automotive market has just received news that promises to touch the hearts of SUV lovers.

After conquering a special place in the market with more than 300 thousand units sold since its launch, the Hyundai Tucson is back with a new generation.

Manufactured on national soil, the model returns in style, with a renewed look, cutting-edge technologies and a competitive price that promises to shake up the segment.

Hyundai chose a bold strategy to relaunch the Tucson in Brazil: offering the SUV with an impressive set of improvements without exceeding the price range of the Creta, another successful model from the brand.

But does the new Tucson have what it takes to win back consumers and outperform the competition in one of the country's most competitive markets? Let's explore all the details that make the 2024 Tucson one of Hyundai's strongest bets.

A success story in Brazil

Since its arrival in Brazil in 2005, the Hyundai Tucson has stood out in the compact SUV market.

At the time, the category was still in its infancy, but the model managed to pave the way by offering an attractive combination of robustness, reliability and competitive price.

The initial version of the Tucson quickly became one of the best-selling cars in its segment., consolidating Hyundai as one of the favorite brands of Brazilian consumers.

Over the years, the model has undergone several updates to keep up with changing consumer demands.

Even with the launch of other SUVs by Hyundai, like Crete, the Tucson has never lost its relevance.

Now, in 2024, the model reappears with an even more sophisticated proposal, promising a new chapter in the brand's success story in Brazil.

Renewed design and elements of sophistication

The 2024 Hyundai Tucson impresses at first glance. Its bold and modern design reflects global trends in the automotive sector.

Among the main visual highlights are the new chrome front grille, the LED main and rear headlights and the 18-inch diamond-cut wheels.

The set creates a sophisticated and contemporary appearance that stands out on Brazilian streets and roads.

In addition, the model has redesigned bumpers that improve not only its appearance, but also its aerodynamics.

These changes ensure that the 2024 Tucson is not only an attractive SUV, but a functional one as well.

Hyundai opted for a design that balances aggressiveness and elegance, an appeal that should please different consumer profiles.

Dimensions and internal space

When it comes to space, the 2024 Tucson offers everything Brazilian consumers expect from an SUV.

Measuring 4,48 meters long, 1,85 meters wide and 1,66 meters high, the model offers generous proportions that guarantee comfort for passengers.

Another highlight is the trunk, with a capacity of 513 liters. This feature is ideal for families who need space for luggage or for those looking for a versatile vehicle for both the city and long trips.

Technological and functional interior

The interior of the 2024 Hyundai Tucson is a spectacle in itself.

The model features a panoramic sunroof that increases the feeling of space and lighting in the cabin, as well as a 9-inch floating multimedia center, compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

This suite ensures an advanced digital experience for drivers and passengers.

For those who prioritize comfort, the model offers electrically adjustable front seats, dual-zone digital automatic air conditioning and an induction cell phone charger.

These items reinforce Hyundai's commitment to offering an SUV that combines luxury and practicality.

Engine and performance

Under the hood, the 2024 Tucson carries the reliable Gamma I 1.6 Turbo GDI engine, which delivers 177 horsepower and 27 kgfm of torque.

This engine is combined with a seven-speed automated transmission, ensuring smooth shifts and fuel efficiency.

The SUV’s performance is one of its biggest attractions. The turbo engine ensures agile acceleration, while the independent rear suspension provides stability and comfort on different types of terrain.

For those looking for a versatile car, the 2024 Tucson promises to meet both urban and travel needs.

Safety first

Hyundai has equipped the 2024 Tucson with safety technologies that reinforce its proposition as a high-quality SUV.

Key features include rear cross-traffic collision warning, blind spot detection, tire pressure monitoring, and hill start assist.

In addition, the model comes with six airbags, a rear camera integrated into the multimedia center and front and rear parking sensors.

These features show that safety is a priority for Hyundai, aligning the Tucson with the most demanding international standards.

With these features, the model not only protects occupants, but also reduces risks in traffic.

Comparison with competitors

The SUV market in Brazil is highly competitive, with models such as the Jeep Compass, Toyota Corolla Cross and Volkswagen Taos.

However, the 2024 Tucson sets itself apart with its balance of design, technology and price.

While the Compass has a strong presence in the market, it doesn't offer the same level of technology for a similar price.

The Taos stands out for its interior space, but loses points in design. The Tucson, on the other hand, brings together the best of both worlds, making it an attractive option for those looking for a full-featured SUV.

Impact on the Brazilian market

The return of the Hyundai Tucson to Brazil reflects the brand's strategy to strengthen its position in the SUV segment.

With local production in Anápolis (GO), the model contributes to the regional economy and generates jobs.

Additionally, the launch of the 2024 Tucson comes at a time when consumers are looking for more technological and efficient vehicles.

With a price of R$ 189.990, the SUV offers a competitive cost-benefit ratio compared to its main competitors.

Hyundai's bet on the future

With the Tucson 2024, Hyundai shows that it is ready to face the challenges of the Brazilian market.

The model combines tradition and innovation, remaining faithful to the characteristics that made it a success in the past, but incorporating the demands of today's consumer.

And you, do you think the 2024 Hyundai Tucson has what it takes to lead the SUV segment in Brazil again? Leave your opinion in the comments!

Excellent car.
I already had one.
Does it have ACC in the package?
And is the manual brake still that Jurassic one on your foot?

We understand your experience with the car and appreciate your feedback. Yes, ACC is a valuable feature on many of our models. As for the handbrake, we can understand how it may seem antiquated to some, but it is important to remember that technology has evolved to include more modern and safer options. We value your satisfaction and hope you find the perfect car for your needs.

I have one and it's the best brake and I've had a truck that's also the same, yes it's the best brake there is, it's this Jurassic one as you say lol but now the new one is a nutelinha brake on the button so as not to hurt the ingrown toenail.
