Evolving In Automotive Manufacturing, SERES And Dürr Join Forces To Optimize Energy Efficiency And Resources.
The renowned vehicle manufacturer SERES, which carries high technology in its DNA, aligns itself with the principles of sustainability. In line with this mission, the company entrusted Dürr with the challenge of implementing a revolutionary paint line at its Liangjiang facility in Chongqing, China. The goal? To enhance efficiency in energy consumption and resource management. In an incredible turnaround of just nine months, Dürr installed pioneering technologies and essential software.
Continuous Expansion of SERES in the Electric Sector
Since 2018, SERES electric cars have gained traction, reaching over 70 global markets. With focused eyes on Europe, SERES aims to be a reference in electric mobility. In Liangjiang, the painting capacity is impressive: 60 vehicles every hour. “Our production line has been enriched with eco-friendly products and the DXQ energy management solution,” emphasizes Yu Lin, a key figure at Dürr in China.

Redefining Processes: Savings and Efficiency
RoDip® M, known for optimizing resources in vehicle pre-treatment, stands out for its 360° rotation of bodies, avoiding waste in exit sections and saving water, chemicals, and energy.
Revolution With Cardboard
Soon, SERES will implement Dürr’s EcoDry X, focused on removing excess paint. Its great asset is the cardboard filters, which eliminate the need for water and chemicals, promoting notable energy savings in the paint booths.
Emission Management and Green Technology
Committed to reducing emissions, SERES uses a Dürr system to purify the air in the paint booths, resulting in energy savings of up to 15%. Moreover, adding value, the purified air is reused, enhancing efficiency in heating curing ovens.
Intelligence in Production: DXQ Software
The role of Dürr’s DXQ software is unquestionable in SERES’s new line. Allowing a transparent view of consumption and identifying the major energy consumers, this technology supports decision-making and preventive maintenance, maximizing sustainability.
Transformative Modules
Thanks to its modularity, Dürr technology enabled an efficient project in just nine months for SERES. This modular structure also provides flexibility in production and optimizes space. “Our goal is to strengthen this partnership with SERES,” reiterates Yu Lin.
