Sergipe Government Announces That Applications for the Public Competition for Forensic Activities at Cogerp Remain Open
Applications for the public competition aimed at the Careers Framework of Forensic Activities of the General Coordination of Forensics (Cogerp) remain open until March 6. There are 60 vacancies available, with salaries ranging from R$ 5,472.76 and R$ 13,289.48. The competition is organized by the Sergipe Government, through the State Departments of Administration (Sead) and Public Security (SSP).
The entire selection process is the responsibility of the National Institute of Educational, Cultural, and Assistance Development (Idecan). The competition will include objective and subjective tests that will be held in the city of Aracaju, on April 9. The duration of the exams will be 4 hours and 30 minutes for positions requiring higher education (papiloscopist, criminal expert, medical-legal expert, and odontological expert) and 4 hours for the position requiring high school education (technical agent of necropsy).
Areas Covered by the Public Competition for Forensics
With a total of 60 vacancies, the competition offers 1 opportunity for the position of technical agent of necropsy, 10 for papiloscopist, 33 vacancies for criminal expert, 15 for medical-legal expert, and 1 for odontological expert. The medical-legal expert can be from the general area or pathology.

The criminal expert must have a completed higher education degree in one of the following areas: Accounting Science or Economic Science; Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Communication Networks Engineering, or Telecommunications Engineering; Systems Analysis, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Processing Technology, or Information Systems; Agronomic Engineering or Forestry Engineering; Pharmacy, Biochemistry, Biomedicine, or Biology; Civil Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics; Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or Chemistry; Veterinary Medicine.
How to Register for the Vacancies in the Forensic Competition
Applications are made entirely online. First, access the Idecan website by clicking here! Then, search for the section dedicated to the notice of interest and fill out the complete form with all the registration details. Finally, just print the bank slip and pay the registration fee, which are: R$90 for agents, R$120 for papiloscopists, and R$180 for experts.
After the registration period, candidates will be evaluated through objective and subjective tests, which will be held on April 9 with eliminatory and classificatory character. The selected will also undergo further evaluations: medical examination (candidates with disabilities), self-identification (Black candidates), title examination, psychological assessment, biomedical and toxicological examinations, background check, and training course.
