The Butantan Institute, one of the most renowned biomedical research centers in Latin America, announced a public competition announcement for the provision of 11 positions for the position of Scientific Researcher I. The positions are intended for candidates with a complete higher education degree and specialization, with a weekly workload of 40 hours, according to the JC Concursos website.
The selection process will be conducted by the Vunesp Foundation and provides for a starting salary of R$ 5,037.04, plus a scientific and technological productivity award valued at R$ 984.

Professionals with graduation in one of the 25 accepted areas by the announcement, including Biology, Biomedicine, Pharmacy, Medicine, Chemical Engineering, Dentistry, Animal Science, Public Health, Biomedical Informatics, Archival Science, Bioinformatics, and Ecology, will be able to participate in the selection process.
Selection Stages and Programmatic Content
The competition will consist of three stages: objective test, evaluation of titles, and oral test. The objective test will be held on July 20, 2025, and will contain 80 questions, distributed among general scientific knowledge, specific knowledge, informatics, public administration, and Portuguese language.
The evaluation of titles will be classificatory, while the oral test will have an eliminatory and classificatory nature, requiring in-depth knowledge of the content of the candidate’s chosen area of expertise.
Registration Period for the Selection Process and Additional Information
Registrations for the selection process will be open from April 24 to May 23, 2025, exclusively through the Vunesp Foundation website. The registration fee is R$ 122.17, with a payment deadline until May 26.
