New Selection Process of the Federal Institute Farroupilha: DOU Launches New Edital with Vacancies in Federal Institute + Salaries Reaching R$ 9 Thousand for High School and Higher Level, check it out!

A new selection process has recently been launched by the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Farroupilha, located in Rio Grande do Sul (IFFar/RS). The edital no. 473/2024 of the competition, which aims to fill 5 vacancies in the Federal Institute in three positions of high school/technical and higher level in the administrative area of the institution, was published in the Official Gazette of the Union on December 11.

The selection process of the Federal Institute Farroupilha is managed by Fundatec, and there will be a reserve of 5% of the vacancies for candidates with disabilities and 20% for black candidates.

The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Farroupilha has the Rectory, the Campuses of Alegrete, Caçapava do Sul, Frederico Westphalen, Jaguari, Júlio de Castilhos, Panambi, Santa Rosa, Santo Ângelo, Santo Augusto, São Borja, São Luiz Gonzaga, São Vicente do Sul, and Uruguaiana.

The vacancies in the Federal Institute will be allocated to these units according to institutional demand, based on the classification. The opportunities are for 3 positions, which are:

Administrative Assistant (3) – Requires vocational high school or complete high school;
Documentarian Librarian (1) – Requires a higher education degree in library science or information science and registration with the respective professional council;
Veterinary Doctor (1) – Requires a higher education degree in veterinary medicine and registration with the regional veterinary medicine council.

The salaries for the careers are as follows:

R$ 4,556.92 for the position of Documentarian Librarian;
R$ 2,667.19 for Administrative Assistant;
R$ 9,113.85 for the position of Veterinary Doctor.

The IFFar also offers approved candidates benefits such as food assistance worth R$ 1,000, preschool assistance worth R$ 484.90, transportation assistance, and health assistance according to current legislation, for a work regime of 40 hours per week.

Interested candidates for the vacancies in the Federal Institute must register between December 11, 2024, and January 22, 2025, only online, at the Fundatec website. The fee is R$ 80.00 for Administrative Assistant and R$ 100 for higher-level positions.

Fee waiver is available for candidates registered in CadÚnico, whose monthly per capita family income is less than or equal to half of the national minimum wage, and for bone marrow donors.

It is worth mentioning that those interested in the selection process of the Federal Institute must be Brazilian by birth or naturalized, at least 18 years old, be in full enjoyment of their civil and political rights, be in compliance with military and electoral obligations, know and comply with the demands of the current Edict, have physical and mental fitness, among others.

Steps of the Selection Process

The selection for the vacancies in the Federal Institute will have up to two evaluation stages:
Objective test of an eliminatory and classificatory nature, worth up to 100 points;
Practical test only for candidates classified in the objective test for the position of Veterinary Doctor, of an eliminatory and classificatory nature, worth up to 100 points.

The objective tests will be held on February 23, 2025, in the city of Santa Maria-RS, at the locations and times announced on February 14, being the candidate’s responsibility to monitor. This test will consist of 50 questions, including 10 questions on Portuguese language, 15 questions on legislation, and 25 questions on specific knowledge.

The preliminary answer keys will be made available on February 24, and the final answer keys will be released on March 25 on the competition’s website. The public competition will be valid for two years from the date of its homologation in the Official Gazette of the Union, and may be extended only once for an equal period.
