The Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) has opened selection for the lato sensu postgraduate program Distance Education in Professional and Technological Education (EPT), with 330 spots distributed across six campuses in the state.

Registrations will occur exclusively online and will end on October 12, 2025, at 11:59 PM.

Activities will be conducted in the EaD modality, with connected in-person synchronous meetings, according to federal regulations for distance education.

Spots and Campuses Offered in RN

The course will be offered by Natal–East Campus, in partnership with Open University of Brazil (UAB).

The spots are equally distributed among the campuses João Câmara, Luís Gomes, Mossoró, Natal–Tirol, Parelhas, and São Gonçalo do Amarante, with 55 spots per campus, totaling 330.

Who Can Register

Graduates of courses recognized by MEC from any field of study may participate.

The announcement indicates preference for teachers from Basic Education working in Elementary and High School in state and municipal networks.

Focus on Continuous Teacher Training

The specialization focuses on continuous training of professionals who work directly in Basic Education, especially in the final years and in High School, emphasizing Professional and Technological Education.

The proposal aims to strengthen skills for planning, mediation, and evaluation in virtual learning environments, as well as integrate EPT practices into the school context.

Preference guides the classification but does not prevent the registration of graduates from other areas, provided they meet the formal requirements.

The application is exclusively online, via the Candidate Portal of IFRN.

It is necessary to create an account in the system, fill out the registration form, attach the required documents, and submit.

Those applying for exemption must make the request within the specified period.

After registration, it is essential to monitor the status in the system and, if there is no exemption, pay the fee within the deadline to validate participation.

The official schedule indicates registrations until October 12, 2025. The final result will be announced on November 12, and pre-registration will take place from November 14 to 24.
