In a new effort to broaden access to vocational education in Mato Grosso do Sul, the Federal Institute opened vacancies for free technical courses for candidates who have completed high school.
The opportunities are distributed across several municipalities, with completely free enrollment until December 14, conducted exclusively through the Candidate Page on the IFMS Selection Center.
The initiative aims to serve students who need accessible and quality technical training, strengthening public and free education in the state.

100% Free Online Mechanics Course with a R$ 1,400 Scholarship at the Federal Institute: In partnership with XCMG, IF calls for those interested in a technical course that includes a signed employment contract under an apprenticeship regime.

Petrobras will pay for you to take a course: in partnership with Senai, there are 2,000 free spots with assistance of up to R$ 858 per month and a certificate recognized by the MEC in industrial areas with high demand in Brazil until 2026.
The selection will be made by electronic drawing, scheduled for January 8, at 10 am, with live transmission on YouTube, precisely to ensure transparency and equal access.
The final result is expected on January 13, and enrollment will take place between January 20 and February 2, also online.
The classes for the free technical courses will begin between March 16 and March 21, 2026.
Half of the vacancies provided by the Federal Institute follows the rules of the Quota Law, being reserved for students who completed high school in public schools.

About the Federal Institute
The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) has ten units distributed across the cities of Aquidauana, Campo Grande, Corumbá, Coxim, Dourados, Jardim, Naviraí, Nova Andradina, Ponta Porã, and Três Lagoas.
The Rectory, responsible for the central management of the institution, is based in Campo Grande.
The higher administrative structure consists of the College of Directors — formed by the pro-rectors and general directors of each campus — and the Superior Council, which includes representatives from the academic community and civil society. Both bodies have the rector as president.
