Available Slots and Courses Offered
IFSULDEMINAS offers courses in various fields, from engineering and biological sciences to fashion and pedagogy, across its eight campuses located in Minas Gerais.
There are options for all tastes and needs, with courses ranging from integrated technical education to high-demand undergraduate programs.
Among the in-person courses, you can find options such as Agronomic Engineering, Biological Sciences, Administration, and Animal Science, with slots distributed in cities like Carmo de Minas, Inconfidentes, Machado, Muzambinho, Passos, Poços de Caldas, Pouso Alegre, and Três Corações.
For those seeking distance learning (EaD) opportunities, there are also great options, such as degrees in Education and Portuguese Language, with hubs in cities like Machado, Muzambinho, and even Bragança Paulista (SP).
Enrollment: Don’t Miss the Deadlines
The enrollment period has already begun, running from September 16 to November 14. During this time, you should visit the IFSULDEMINAS website to secure your participation.
For higher education courses, there is an enrollment fee of R$ 40.00, while the fee for technical courses is reduced to R$ 20.00.
Some subsequent courses, such as the technical course in Nursing, require the payment of this fee, while others are free.
After completing the enrollment, it is necessary to print and pay the Union Collection Guide (GRU) by November 18, at bank branches or lottery outlets. Don’t leave it to the last minute!
Affirmative Actions: Inclusion and Diversity
IFSULDEMINAS also invests in affirmative actions to ensure access for students from public schools, people with disabilities, and self-declared black or brown candidates.
Half of the slots are reserved for those who studied in public schools, and 5% of the general competition slots are allocated to candidates with disabilities (PcD).
It is essential that candidates prepare to prove income, education, and, for PcD slots, medical reports.
Additionally, there will be an interview with the Heteroidentification Committee for black or brown candidates.
How Will the Selection Process at IFSULDEMINAS Be Conducted?
The selection process varies depending on the course. For integrated technical courses and the subsequent Nursing course, selection will be through a written exam, with 50 questions on Portuguese and Mathematics on December 8, 2024. For other subsequent and concomitant courses, the selection will be made through a lottery.
For undergraduate courses, candidates can choose to take the written exam or use their Enem score (valid for editions from 2016 to 2023). It is important to remember that the slots for Sisu will be offered in a separate announcement. Click for more information!
Need a Fee Waiver?
Low-income candidates can request a waiver of the enrollment fee. To do so, they must have a per capita family income equal to or less than one minimum wage and have completed elementary or high school entirely in a public school (or with a full scholarship in a private school).
To request the waiver, candidates must complete the specific form on the IFSULDEMINAS website.
