More than 630 vacancies in free holiday courses, which will be held in the first month of 2022 in Salvador, are being offered by the João Carlos Paes Mendonça Institute of Social Commitment (IJCPM). In total, there are 9 free courses available. The workshops and classes are aimed at young people aged 16 and up, graduates or enrolled in public schools located in the neighborhoods of São Cristóvão, Saramandaia, Boca do Rio, Pernambués, Jardim das Margaridas, and Cassange, in the municipalities of Salvador and Lauro de Freitas, in the metropolitan region.

Search for Free Courses Increases Amid the Pandemic
The demand for graduate courses focused on education, in EAD (Distance Learning), increased by 60% this year. The municipality of São José dos Campos leads the ranking of cities with the highest demand among professionals seeking further qualifications, and even a second degree, during the pandemic caused by Covid-19.
The situation in São José dos Campos is featured in the Survey of Undergraduate and Graduate Courses conducted by the Semesp Institute. Nationwide, the number of students in specialization courses exceeded 1.3 million this year, with a growth of 4.8%, considering the EAD modality, whose tuition fees can be four times lower compared to in-person courses.
According to the survey, the majority of graduate course offerings are concentrated in the private network, with 90% and 173,000 active courses, with 64% in-person and 86% concentrated in the fields of education, social sciences, business and law, health and social welfare.
