Aeromine Technologies Receives US$ 9 Million Investment and Plans to Expand Production of Blade-less Wind Turbines, Promising to Transform Energy Generation in Urban Areas
Aeromine Technologies, a pioneering startup in the development of blade-less wind turbines for building rooftops, has just announced the successful closing of a US$ 9 million funding round. The investment, led by research and energy strategy firm Veriten, marks a significant step for Aeromine, which plans to increase the production and deployment of its innovative “wind collection platforms.”
Launched in 2022, Aeromine manufactures compact wind turbines of 50 kW or larger, which are mounted on the roof edge of a building. These revolutionary turbines have no visible external blades or moving parts, efficiently capturing the wind flowing over the building and converting it to electricity on-site. Its generator system, based on a rotor-stator design with a 5 kW permanent magnet generator, is highly efficient and quiet.

Aerodynamics Just Like a Race Car Wing
Aeromine’s wind turbine technology harnesses aerodynamics, similar to race car wings, to capture and amplify air flow on each building, generating energy more efficiently. According to the company, its systems consist of 20 to 40 units installed at the edge of a building, oriented towards the prevailing wind direction. Each unit can withstand winds between 190 and 250 km/h, depending on the specification, ensuring reliable and safe operation.

The world has bet on green hydrogen as the fuel of the future, but now faces the side effect: producing 1 kilogram requires about 9 liters of ultrapure water, and the largest projects on the planet are precisely in the driest regions of the Earth, where water is already scarce for people.
Additionally, Aeromine’s wind turbines can operate independently or be integrated with existing solar panels on rooftops, providing a hybrid and flexible energy solution. This integration allows for on-site energy generation, eliminating interruptions in grid supply and enhancing the resilience of the local energy system.
Blade-less Turbines Demonstrate Revolution in Renewable Energy Sector
Maynard Holt, founder and CEO of Veriten, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership with Aeromine, highlighting the crucial role of innovation in distributed energy to meet the demand for reliable and affordable electricity. He emphasized that Aeromine’s ability to provide fast and cost-effective energy solutions for a variety of businesses is unique in the distributed energy market.
Aeromine’s blade-less wind turbines are designed to power a wide range of buildings, including apartments, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, offices, hospitals, and shopping centers. With commercial rollout expected in Europe and North America in 2025, the company aims to further expand its global presence and promote the transition to more sustainable and accessible energy sources.
