As a result, dozens of companies have participated in the process in search of approval to issue CBios. By December 14, 47 companies were in the public consultation phase aiming to issue the certificates, and five had been approved, according to ANP, including biodiesel units BSBios and JBS.
The Agency also stated that it believes the companies approved in the coming months will be sufficient for Brazil to meet the 2020 target, whose decarbonization is about 28.7 million tons.
