Creation of New Jobs at the Unit in Dourados, Mato Grosso do Sul
According to the representatives of the multinational JBS, the forecast is that there will be an increase of 2,500 direct jobs at the company’s factory in Dourados, located in the Midwest region, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, and consequently 3 indirect jobs, which is estimated to impact at least 10,000 families in the city. The unit is also expected to slaughter 200,000 animals per month, becoming one of the largest plants in Brazil.
Present at the meeting to discuss investments in the factory were the Manager of the Dourados unit, Dirceu Rech, the Executive Manager of Institutional Relations, João Antônio Monteiro Tavares, and the Human Resources Coordinator, Silvana Benites, in addition to the municipal secretaries Henrique Sartori, Cleriston Recalcatti, and Wolmer Sitadini Campagnoli.

Cleriston José Recalcatti, head of the Municipal Secretary of Economic Development (Semdes), states that new factories coming to the city of Dourados, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, generate several benefits such as economic movement, direct jobs for the population, tax generation for the city hall, among others. According to him, all these factors generate purchasing power and gains for the municipality.
The head of Semdes also emphasizes that, with the generation of jobs and taxes for the city, the main beneficiaries are the residents, with new opportunities arising from local revenue. The arrival of new factories is essential for economic development, as it puts Dourados, in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, on the path of other investors.
