It will have 600 horsepower and a 0 to 60 mph time of about 3.5 seconds.

According to Jeep, the Wagoneer S is exclusively a battery electric vehicle that will come with Jeep’s standard 4xe all-wheel drive, along with the company’s terrain management system. Jeep has not released any data regarding battery size, trims, motor technology, or pricing for the Wagoneer S at this time.
There is expectation that Jeep will release more details as the fall 2024 sales date approaches. The new electric Jeep will be available first in the US before reaching key markets worldwide afterward.

Automatic cars become ‘cheap’ in Brazil, and models from Toyota, Hyundai, Nissan, and Honda appear for R$ 65,000 with up to 120 hp, CVT transmission, 482 liters of trunk space, keyless entry, and six airbags to tackle traffic without a clutch.

The brand claims that the design of the new electric SUV was driven by aerodynamic efficiency. The sole teaser photo shows a front view of a more simplified and less boxy structure than would normally be seen in a Jeep.
The two blade-shaped side intakes on both sides of the lower bumper resemble items found on another electric SUV developed in the US, the Lucid Gravity.
The company’s iconic seven-slot grille will be illuminated by LED, while the rear will likely feature an LED bar, if the small previews shown in the teaser video are any indication. In fact, the model looks almost identical to the concept that Jeep showed in 2022.
Other Electric Models from Jeep
The Wagoneer S is the first of two electric Jeeps planned for this year, with the smaller Recon also expected to enter production sometime this year. The two models are the first steps in a plan to reshape Jeep’s portfolio, joining the brand’s first electric Jeep, the Avenger, launched in Europe in 2022. The Jeep Avenger, a compact SUV positioned below the Renegade, has been under consideration for Brazil since its launch in Europe, but it will not be released in Brazil, even in its electric version.
Last July, rumors about the model’s launch gained traction when a unit for potential customer evaluation arrived in the country. However, its launch in the Brazilian market has been blocked by the high echelons of South America.
According to sources linked to the company, the reason is that in combustion versions, the Avenger would compete in the same price range as models like the Fiat Pulse, for example, not to mention the cannibalization with the entry-level versions of the Renegade. Meanwhile, the import of the electric Jeep was also ruled out due to the final price, which would render it less competitive.
Jeep Avenger Wins Car of the Year Award
The first fully electric model from Jeep, the Avenger, was named European Car of the Year in 2023. The model received a total of 328 votes, with second place going to the VW ID.Buzz with 241 votes. Only experienced journalists from accredited automotive publications were allowed to vote.
Other contenders for Car of the Year included the Kia Niro EV, Nissan Ariya, and Renault Austral. The jurors cited several reasons for the model’s success, one of which was its pricing. The new electric Jeep starts at €39,500 (R$ 218,000) in the fully equipped First Edition, with more affordable versions expected to arrive at a later date.
