Jeep Plans To Launch Its New Electric Car Smaller Than The Renegade. It Is An Electric SUV That Will Use The Same Platform As The Peugeot 208. However, There Is A Possibility That The Vehicle May Not Arrive In Brazil
According to the portal garagem360, Jeep has confirmed that it is already working on the production of its new SUV, a subcompact electric car smaller than the Renegade and with the same platform as the Peugeot 208. According to Mark Allen, head of exterior design at Jeep, the company wants to invest in all segments.

With Allen’s revelation, it is possible to foresee that the new SUV should be smaller than the Renegade, which is a compact model. But it seems that Jeep’s main idea is to offer a subcompact electric SUV, confirming the brand’s position to be electrified in all segments by 2025.
Sources also indicate that the new Jeep SUV will be based on the STLA Small platform, which is an “evolution” of Peugeot’s CMP base. This production base is found in the Peugeot 208 and the Opel Corsa. Additionally, it will also serve the Brazilian Citroën C3, which has been converted into a subcompact SUV, but the difference is that the new Jeep will be an electric car.

New Jeep May Not Arrive In Brazil
There is a possibility that Stellantis will keep the Renegade as the entry-level model with a combustion engine, but the new SUV, which is being referred to by some as Baby Jeep, will be the brand’s cheapest electric car. However, compared to the Renegade, it is a significantly smaller model.
It is worth noting that Jeep is already discussing the launch of a smaller SUV in India and other emerging countries. On the other hand, the new electric car from Jeep will be somewhat comparable to the Fiat Pulse in terms of size and price, according to experts.
If this occurs, the new Baby will not be launched by Stellantis in Brazil, because an “equivalent” to the Pulse would be a potential competitor, posing risks of disrupting Pulse SUV sales.
