18-Year-Old Student With ASD Scores 900 Points on Enem 2025 Essay and Secures a Place in Psychology at Ufac After a Year of Intensive Preparation
The approval in the Enem 2025 secured young student Thalita Silva, 18 years old, diagnosed with ASD, a place in psychology at the Federal University of Acre after scoring 900 points on the essay and dedicating an entire year to her studies.
Thalita Silva states that her dream of pursuing psychology has existed since childhood. “I want to help others find themselves just like I found myself in therapy,” declared the young woman while commenting on her achievement through Enem 2025.
The results were announced by the Federal University of Acre last Monday, the 2nd, via a selection list in a process based solely on the scores from the National High School Exam. The ranking exclusively considered performance in Enem 2025.

Achievement of the Place in Psychology
Diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder in 2022, Thalita faced challenges in the school environment over the years, including episodes of bullying and lack of understanding.
Nevertheless, she maintained her goal of pursuing higher education.
She reported that the moment of checking the results was marked by anxiety. The website experienced fluctuations on the day of the announcement, which heightened the tension.
Her sister checked the list first and notified her when her name appeared among those approved.
“I believed I might pass, but I also had a lot of fear of not passing. It was a huge surprise. I couldn’t even cry at the time. Only later did it hit me,” the student shared about the day of the announcement.
Young Woman’s Routine Divided Between Studies and Crochet Production
During the year of preparation for Enem 2025, Thalita organized an intense routine. In the morning, she attended high school classes.
In the afternoon, she made stuffed animals in crochet and attended to clients. In the evening, she participated in a preparatory course.
The artisanal production started as a form of therapy and eventually became a source of income as well. The routine was maintained from Monday to Friday.
On Saturdays, she took practice tests or participated in intensive classes at the preparatory course. Rest was reserved for Sundays.
Despite her affinity for the humanities and reading, she maintained specific discipline for the essay of the Enem 2025.
She practiced weekly with topics created at home and received support at the free preparatory course MedAprova, offered by Ufac.
According to Thalita, the support from MedAprova was essential in this process. The constant preparation contributed to reaching 900 points on the essay of Enem 2025, a decisive result for her classification in the psychology course.
Challenges Overcome Since the Diagnosis
Her mother, Janaina Duarte da Silva, emphasized that her daughter’s journey from regular school to university has been marked by difficulties, prejudice, and trauma.
She stated that despite this, Thalita has become stronger over time.
The change in reality began when the young woman started studying at a school where she found adequate support and understanding, according to her family’s account. The more welcoming school environment contributed to her academic evolution.
For Janaina, the approval represents both pride and apprehension. “I am happy and, at the same time, afraid of what lies ahead, but I believe she will do well,” the mother declared about this new stage.
Young Woman’s Expectations for the Start of the Course
After the confirmation of the place obtained through Enem 2025, Thalita described feelings of happiness, relief, and gratitude. She expressed having high expectations for the psychology course at the Federal University of Acre.
“Psychology has always been a dream since I was little. I’m sure I will really enjoy the subjects of the course and will have a great thirst to learn. This is what I have always sought,” stated the student.
With her approval secured by her performance in Enem 2025, Thalita now embarks on a new academic phase, getting closer to her goal of working in the field and helping others find themselves through therapy.
