Just pay attention to the new thing that's hitting the streets: the Kia Sportage 2024. This crossover SUV promises to change the game with a lot of cool things. And look, it's not just bullshit, okay? Let's take a look at what this car has to offer.

First, let me tell you about the space, the KIA Sportage 2024 is leading the class when it comes to cargo space and leg comfort in the back seat. Just imagine, 41.3 inches of legroom! That's what I call traveling with style and space to spare.

The car comes with a blind spot monitor which shows everything on the instrument panel, and it doesn't stop there, it also has a 360° view monitor with four cameras so you don't miss any details around the vehicle. And for those who enjoy quality sound, there is premium Harman Kardon audio.

X-Pro: for those who enjoy adventure

And for those who like an adventure, there is the Sportage X-Pro version. With all-wheel drive and multi-terrain mode, this beast is ready for any stop. And it also has BF Goodrich All-Terrain tires exclusive to the segment.

Kia Sportage 2024: Engine and Performance that Surprise

The 2024 Sportage comes with a 2.5-liter I-4 engine, which delivers 187 horsepower and 178 lb-ft of torque. It's the kind of power you need, whether in the city or on the highway. This big engine is coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission. And look, it has standard front-wheel drive (FWD) and the option of four-wheel drive (AWD) for those who enjoy an off-road adventure.

Want to know about acceleration? A Sportage X-Pro AWD went from 0 to 60 mph in 9.3 seconds in testing. It's no joke, no! And the fuel economy? With FWD, the 2024 Sportage gets 25/33 mpg city/highway. With AWD, it gets between 23/26-30 mpg. In other words, you drive a lot without worrying so much about the gas station.

Hybrid Options

Now, check out the hybrid options: the Sportage Hybrid has a turbocharged engine 1.6-liter I-4 and an electric motor. Together, they produce 227 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque. This reduces acceleration from 0 to 60 mph to 7.2 seconds. And the fuel economy? It rises to about 38-42/38-44 mpg city/highway.

And there's more: the Sportage Plug-In Hybrid (PHEV) takes everything to another level. With a more powerful engine and a larger battery, power increases to 261 hp. Acceleration from 0 to 60 mph drops to 7.1 seconds, and it still offers around 34 miles of all-electric range.

Prices and versions of the new KIA

Let's talk about price? O Sportage 2024 has several versions, starting with the LX starting at $27,090. And there's an option for every taste and budget, you know? The top of the line, the X-Pro Prestige, starts at $37,890. But these prices are just the beginning, the final price may vary a little.

And who's competing for people's attention with the Sportage? In the United States and Europe, rivals are the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4. Here in Brazil, the Sportage goes head to head with the Jeep Compass, Peugeot 3008 and the Hyundai New Tucson. The competition is fierce!
