When asked about the relationship between former President Jair Bolsonaro and former U.S. President Donald Trump, Lula downplayed the influence of this potential alliance on Brazilian politics.

“He (Bolsonaro) was president and I defeated him,” he stated. “If he (Bolsonaro) was supporting Trump, he doesn’t have votes in the United States.”
