Cascaneia, Recognized as the Largest Water Park in Santa Catarina, Confirms an Investment of R$ 40 Million Over Five Years to Expand Its Facilities, Create New Attractions, and Maintain Jobs Year-Round in Gaspar.
According to the NSC Total portal, the largest water park in Santa Catarina, Cascaneia, will invest R$ 40 million over the next five years in an ambitious expansion plan in Gaspar, in the Vale do Itajaí. The announcement was made by President Monique Reinert, who revealed that the investment aims not only to modernize the park but also to boost local tourism and combat the seasonality typical of the sector.
With the investment, the group intends to revitalize existing areas, expand the hotel park, and create new non-water attractions, making the complex appealing even during the winter. The expectation is that the investment will increase the number of visitors, double job creation, and strengthen experience tourism in the region.
Expansion Goes Beyond the Pools: New Attractions and Year-Round Tourism

According to the executive, the goal is to take the park to “new levels” and ensure that the venture operates sustainably throughout the 12 months of the year.

End of the dream of home ownership: construction companies defrauded Brazilian families with Caixa’s money, received more than 80% of financing up to R$ 500,000, abandoned projects, left debts over R$ 200,000, and properties threatened with auction after suspicious reports.
The proposal includes unprecedented attractions focused on leisure, gastronomy, and accommodation, as well as a visual and operational restructuring of the complex.
Cascaneia, which is already among the best water parks in southern Brazil, seeks to reduce its dependence on summer, the period when it attracts the majority of its audience.
“We want to keep the park active and create jobs year-round, not just during the hot season”, explained Monique Reinert.
Hotel Sector in Expansion and Expressive Results
The group already has two hospitality operations that complement the water park: the Hotel Vila di Acqua, with 47 apartments adjacent to the park, and the Ecoar Resort, which offers 38 suites and 22 chalets in a concept more geared towards winter tourism and relaxation amidst nature.
According to Monique, revenue from the hospitality sector grew 60% in the first half of 2025, reinforcing the potential for expansion.
The average annual occupancy rate of 70% is considered excellent for the segment, but management is already planning to expand capacity and add more structure to meet the growing demand.
Investment Also Seeks to Increase Jobs and Strengthen the Local Economy
Cascaneia occupies an area of over 100 thousand square meters and receives about 150 thousand visitors per year, boosting tourism and commerce in the region.
With the new investment cycle, the company intends to almost double the number of employees, increasing from 160 to approximately 300 employees.
Currently, the park faces seasonality in payroll, hiring temporarily during the summer.
The new project aims to create permanent jobs, with ongoing activities throughout the year. “We want to maintain hiring and provide stability for those who work with us,” said the president, highlighting the social impact of the plan.
New Positioning and Visual Identity Mark the New Phase
During the announcement event, the group also presented its new visual identity, symbolizing an institutional repositioning and the beginning of a planned expansion phase.
The Cascaneia Group will officially integrate its three brands— the park, the hotel, and the resort—under the same growth strategy.
Monique revealed that there are new projects on the radar, including new businesses and strategic partnerships focused on experience tourism and family entertainment.
“We are ready to grow responsibly and innovatively, without losing the essence that brought us here,” she concluded.
With R$ 40 million in investments, job generation, and year-round tourism expansion, Cascaneia reinforces its position as the largest water park in Santa Catarina and an example of management focused on economic and social sustainability.
The goal is to transform seasonal leisure into a permanent experience for residents and tourists.
