Bahia’s Department of Education Opens 1,624 Positions and Reserve Registration; Applications for the Selection Process Go Until October 2 and Tests on November 17.

The State of Bahia’s Department of Education (SEC-BA) has launched a new selection process aimed at filling 1,624 positions and forming a reserve registration for various roles. The selection is conducted under the Special Administrative Law Regime (REDA), and applications are open from September 12, with a final deadline of October 2, 2024. The test date is November 17.

The new selection process from the Department of Education is being organized by the company Fenaz from Pará.

The opportunities cover five different positions: Sign Language Translator/Interpreter (173 positions), Braille Specialist (101 positions), Specialized Educational Service Technician (763 positions), Educational Caregiver (509 positions), and Sign Language Instructor (78 positions).

Stages and Important Dates of the Selection Process

The selection from the Department of Education occurs in two phases. The first is the objective test, which will be eliminatory and classificatory for all positions. This test will take place on November 17, 2024, from 8 AM to 11 AM.

The objective test will be applied in several cities in Bahia, including Alagoinhas, Amargosa, Barreiras, Bom Jesus da Lapa, Caetité, Eunápolis, Feira de Santana, Ipirá, Irecê, Itaberaba, Itabuna, Itapetinga, Jacobina, Jequié, Juazeiro, Macaúbas, Paulo Afonso, Ribeira do Pombal, Santa Maria da Vitória, Santo Antônio de Jesus, Seabra, Senhor do Bonfim, Serrinha, Teixeira de Freitas, Valença, and Vitória da Conquista.

The exact locations of the tests will be announced on November 5, 2024.

For positions requiring a high school/vocational education, the objective test will include 10 questions on Portuguese language, 10 on general knowledge, 5 on logical reasoning, and 15 on specific knowledge.

For higher education positions, the test will consist of 10 questions on Portuguese language, 10 on general knowledge, 5 on logical reasoning, and 20 on specific knowledge.

The second phase is the practical test, which will be administered for the positions of Specialized Educational Service Technician, Sign Language Translator/Interpreter, Braille Specialist, and Sign Language Instructor. This phase will also have eliminatory and classificatory character.

The preliminary answer keys will be published on November 19, 2024, on the same application site.

Validity and Other Information

The selection process will be valid for one year from the publication of the result homologation. There is a possibility of extension for one additional year, only once.

This selection aims not only to fill immediate vacancies but also to create a candidate bank for future opportunities in the Department of Education.
