The Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) is preparing to launch a new public contest with up to 1,061 vacancies for technician, analyst, and researcher positions, for high school and higher education. The expectation is that the announcement will be published next month in June, according to information released by Embrapa’s president, Silvia Masshurá.
The definition of the organizing committee, which will be responsible for the high school and higher education contest, is still pending and is expected to be announced soon. Only after this definition and the signing of the contract will the start date of the selection process be confirmed.
Although the distribution of vacancies by position has not yet been disclosed, it is known that there will be opportunities for high school and higher education, with initial salaries that can reach R$ 11,047.22. In addition, those approved will receive food assistance worth R$ 1,075.25.

The Positions Offered in Embrapa’s Contest Will Be:
- Technician: high school and initial salary of R$ 4,790.41;
- Analyst: for those with higher education, with initial salary of R$ 9,415.06;
- Researcher: also with higher education, and initial salary of R$ 11,047.22.
The appointment of those approved in the high school and higher education contest is planned for the years 2024, 2025, 2026, and 2027.

The last contest of Embrapa was held in 2009, offering 697 vacancies, in addition to forming a reserve list. At that time, various positions were covered, from basic learning at high school level to higher education. The organizing committee was Cetro Concursos.
