Leaked Images Show Discreet Updates In The Cabin Of The Volkswagen Compact SUV That Will Be Launched This Month In Addition To A Turbo 1.4 Engine
The launch of the new Volkswagen T-Cross with a 1.4 engine is scheduled for May 16, and although it has not yet been officially revealed, the compact SUV is already being tested across Brazil and has been spotted for over a year, according to the website Auto Esporte.
The photos show that the new Volkswagen T-Cross 2025 will have discreet changes in the dashboard. The VW Play multimedia center now features a slightly floating edge screen, similar to the European model, suggesting that the native layout of the system will also be updated. The current screen is 10.25 inches. However, the rest of the center console remains largely unchanged. Check it out below!

In the entry-level versions, the air conditioning remains non-digital and the parking brake is manual. The ignition is still by remote key, not by button. As for the finish, apparently, plastic will continue to be the predominant material, at least in the simpler versions, and the seats will be fabric.

Volkswagen T-Cross: A Very Large SUV!
In addition to the internal changes, the new Volkswagen T-Cross for the Latin American market will be built on the Virtus platform, which has a 2.68-meter wheelbase, an increase from the 2.65 meters of the current model. This suggests that the vehicle could be even larger while maintaining a length of 4.20 meters, a width of 1.76 meters, and a height of 1.60 meters.
As for the design, the new T-Cross is expected to resemble the more basic versions of the model sold in Europe since 2023. The rear lights will not be interconnected and will feature C-shaped LED position lights. At the front, the look will be almost the same, with the current grille and headlight design, but with new internal dividers, similar to the Taos and Polo GTS.
Regarding the engine options, the new T-Cross will maintain the 1.0 and 1.4 turbo engines, with powers of 128 hp and 150 hp, respectively, and a 6-speed automatic transmission. However, in the future, it’s possible that the model will receive the 1.5 TSI Evo2 engine, an evolution of the 1.4 TSI, offered in combustion versions or combined with an electric motor in possible mild hybrid versions.
