Requirements to Compete for the Free and Partial Prouni Scholarships 2022 – University for All Program
To participate in Prouni, it is necessary, first of all, to have taken the Enem 2021 and obtained at least 450 points. The student must also not have received a zero on the writing test. In addition, the program stipulates a series of socioeconomic criteria. Therefore, only individuals who:
- Completed all Basic Education in public schools;
- Completed all or part of Basic Education in private schools with full scholarships;
- Have a family income per capita of at most 1.5 minimum wages for full scholarships and 3 minimum wages for partial scholarships;
- Are persons with disabilities;
- Are public school teachers, integrating the permanent staff of a public institution (the income criterion does not apply to teachers).
New Feature: Another criterion to compete for Prouni vacancies is not having a higher education diploma. However, this edition introduces a new exception to this rule: already graduated individuals may compete for scholarships, provided they wish to enroll in teacher training courses. The change, according to MEC, was made to encourage teaching.
Registration: registrations for this edition of Prouni 2022 will be open from February 22 to 25. Students can consult the information on the Prouni website, AT THIS LINK. The result of the first call will be announced on March 2.
It is possible to start searching by the course name, institution, or municipality. The website also has a tool to filter results — students can view only distance or in-person courses, with or without quotas, and choose whether to visualize full or partial scholarships.
