Mechanics Disassembled A Tesla Cybertruck Fresh Out Of The Factory And Discovered A Surprise In The Innovative Electric Vehicle.
The Tesla Cybertruck shocked the world with its innovative design and unique solutions. Today, the vehicle remains one of the most talked-about of the moment.
Although it was recently launched, Elon Musk‘s electric pickup still raises questions about its manufacturing and performance.
To clear that doubt, a team of mechanics recently set out to completely disassemble the vehicle, revealing details that surprised even the most skeptical.

Difficulties Of Homologation In Europe
Despite being available in the North American market, the Cybertruck faces problems in being homologated in Europe due to safety issues.
Meanwhile, in its home market, enthusiasts and critics are seeking to better understand the peculiarities of this 100% electric model.
The Munro team, known for disassembling vehicles for technical analysis, decided to explore all the secrets of the Cybertruck.
Battery Size Surprised Negatively
One of the most discussed points about the Cybertruck is the next-generation battery, known as Tesla 4680. The number 4680 refers to the physical dimensions of the battery cells.
The team of mechanics opened the box housing these batteries and discovered something unusual: the interior has significant air gaps, leaving the packaging partially empty.
This discovery raises questions about the efficiency promised by the vehicle.
Initially, Tesla promised a range of up to 800 km per charge. However, real-world tests indicate numbers well below that.
The entry-level version, with two electric motors and 608 hp, offers about 409 km of range, according to measurements from the North American EPA cycle.
Even with the optional 50 kWh battery, sold for an additional US$ 15,000, the range does not exceed 700 km homologated — a value that decreases even more in real use.
Impact Of Weight And Possible Updates
The main battery, at 123 kWh, already adds considerable weight to the vehicle. With the addition of the extra battery, the weight increases even more, compromising efficiency.
This problem is exacerbated by the empty spaces in the battery compartment, a detail that experts believe to be a design flaw or related to the strategy for future improvements.
Among the possible updates planned for the coming months is a reduction in charging times.
Tesla promises to optimize the power curve during the process, allowing a 15-minute charge to provide up to 250 km of range.
If these improvements materialize, they could alleviate some of the criticisms regarding the vehicle’s performance.
Technological Espionage Between Manufacturers
In addition to the technical revelations, speculation has arisen that other manufacturers are interested in exploring the Cybertruck’s technology.
Ford, for example, allegedly purchased a unit at a high price to dismantle it and better understand how the vehicle operates.
Although this information has not been officially confirmed, rumors have increased after the publication of Munro’s videos.
BMW is also said to have followed the same strategy, albeit more discreetly. Experts believe this interest reflects the technological impact the Cybertruck could have on the automotive industry, despite facing initial challenges.
The Future Of The Tesla Cybertruck
With the pressure for improvements and the criticisms received since its launch, the Cybertruck is at a crucial moment.
Despite the controversies, the model continues to be a reference in the electric pickup segment, sparking curiosity and competitiveness in the market.
Tesla promises to address flaws and surprise with new solutions soon, consolidating its role as one of the most innovative companies in the automotive industry.
