Microsoft Leads Forbes 2025 Ranking of The Best Companies to Work For; Petrobras and Nubank Represent Brazil.

Forbes published this week the 2025 ranking of the best companies to work for in the world, featuring 900 organizations from 50 countries.

The list is topped by Microsoft, which maintained the top position for the second consecutive year, followed by Delta Air Lines and Alphabet, the parent company of Google.

The survey highlighted the companies with the highest satisfaction rates, growth opportunities, and employee benefits.

The study assessed aspects such as organizational climate, reputation, remuneration, and work-life balance. The research, conducted in partnership with Statista, surveyed 300,000 employees from multinational companies with over a thousand employees.

Petrobras is The Highest Ranked Brazilian Company; Nubank Also Appears in The Ranking

Brazil made its mark on the list with ten companies, with Petrobras being the highest ranked at 119th place. The state-owned company was recognized for offering structured career plans and good benefits, reinforcing its role among the best companies to work for in Latin America.

In addition to it, Banco do Brasil (268th), Embraer (274th), Gerdau (358th), Vale (449th), Nubank (527th), Natura &Co (547th), Bradesco (592nd), Votorantim (632nd), and Braskem (883rd) are also featured.

The presence of companies from various sectors shows the diversity and potential of the Brazilian corporate environment, which has been investing in inclusion, innovation, and well-being programs for employees.

Top 10 Worldwide: Technology Dominates The Podium of The Best Employers

According to Forbes, the top ten reflect the strength of the technology sector. The top 10 includes:

1-Microsoft (USA) – Software and IT Services;

2-Delta Air Lines (USA) – Transportation and Logistics;

3-Alphabet (USA) – Software and IT Services;

4-Adobe (USA) – Software and IT Services;

5-BMW Group (Germany) – Automotive;

6-NVIDIA (USA) – Semiconductors and Electrical Engineering;

7-Sony (Japan) – Conglomerate;

8-IBM (USA) – Electrical Engineering and IT;

9-Apple (USA) – Electronics and Software;

10-Lego Group (Denmark) – Consumer Goods.

    Three of the top five positions belong to software companies, reinforcing the dominance of technology in modern management practices and talent recognition.

    Delta Rises in Ranking with Well-Being Programs and Internal Innovation

    Delta Air Lines, which jumped from 6th to 2nd position, gained recognition for its employee valuation policies and active listening.

    One of the main projects was the Emergency Savings Program, created in 2023, which offers financial well-being training and a $1,000 incentive for creating an emergency fund.

    More than 40,000 employees have already joined the initiative, which is part of the “listen–act–listen” policy — a model of continuous communication between leaders and teams.

    In addition, the company has relaxed corporate travel rules, allowing additional companions, which has reinforced internal engagement.

    Innovation and Purpose Drive Technology Companies

    According to experts, technology companies remain among the best places to work by embracing innovation and flexibility.

    According to Jess LaRochelle of W Talent Solutions, sectors such as technology, healthcare, and professional services have stood out in satisfaction and talent retention, while more traditional areas still face structural challenges.

    At Adobe, ranked 4th, the differentiator lies in the “spirit of innovation,” explains Gloria Chen, director of people and executive vice president of employee experience.

    “As a software company, Adobe is always seeking the next big innovation. Now, in the era of artificial intelligence, this drive is stronger than ever,” Chen stated.

    This focus on continuous innovation and career development has ensured that technology giants hold prominent positions on the Forbes list.

    Methodology: Global Survey With 300,000 Employees

    The ranking of the best companies to work for was developed based on a comprehensive survey conducted by Forbes and Statista.

    Employees from over 50 countries evaluated their companies based on criteria such as salary, benefits, professional growth, work-life balance, and corporate reputation.

    The responses were weighted according to the year of collection, with greater emphasis on recent data and opinions from current employees.

    Thus, the ranking reflects the global perception of companies that genuinely invest in their teams and prioritize well-being in the workplace.

    Brazil Gains Recognition Among Global Giants

    The presence of names like Petrobras and Nubank among the best companies to work for in the world reinforces the progress of management practices and the value of people in the Brazilian market.

    Meanwhile, Microsoft’s leadership confirms that innovation, organizational culture, and purpose remain essential pillars to attract and retain talent on a global scale.
