The Australian Company Enegix Wants To Build At The Port Of Pecém A New Green Hydrogen Plant In Ceará That Will Generate Several Jobs
The construction of a new green hydrogen plant in the state of Ceará will have a significant impact on the state’s renewable energy market. According to Wesley Cooke, CEO of the Australian Enegix, the company will invest US$ 5.4 billion in setting up a unit at the Port of Pecém. The project is expected to generate around 1,000 jobs during the construction phase and will also create many opportunities for the region when it is in the operational phase.

In addition, Marco Stacke, CEO of Enegix and the company’s director of operations, emphasized that due to the high-tech reputation of the green hydrogen plant, the jobs generated by the “Base One,” known as the “green hydrogen plant,” will have a higher wage standard.
Marco says that “The construction project should be an ongoing process and we believe we will employ around a thousand people in this phase, but the most important thing is that, in the operational phase, we will create hundreds of jobs with high salary levels. It’s not like jobs that don’t require training, so in the construction process we can train many people and enable part of the workforce in the construction phase to be integrated into the operational phase.”

Training Of Qualified Workforce:
Wesley Cooke stated that Enegix should maintain direct contact with universities in Ceará to promote the training and development of qualified workforce for the new hydrogen plant at the Port of Pecém.
“Indeed, we will have various types of functions because this is a gigantic project. But the point is that we will need specific training and protocols, and for that, we want to establish a partnership with universities in the coming years, while we will be in the construction phase, even considering partnerships with foreign universities. This is all very new, but so far we can see that Ceará is prepared to offer all the capabilities we will need in the project,” said the CEO of Enegix.
