Government of Minas Presents Investment Guide for Lithium, Niobium, and Rare Earth Mining During PDAC in Toronto.
The Government of Minas, through Invest Minas, an agency linked to the State Department of Economic Development (Sede-MG), launched a groundbreaking guide aimed at attracting investments in strategic minerals.
The publication, titled “Minas Gerais – Brazil: a Strategic Materials Hub for the World”, was announced during the annual convention of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC), the largest global mining event, held in Toronto, Canada.

Investment Opportunities in Strategic Minerals from Minas Gerais
The guide, available in English, highlights the potential of Minas Gerais in the extraction of essential minerals, including lithium, niobium, rare earths, silicon, graphite, manganese, phosphate, and potassium. These elements are fundamental for the manufacture of various products, such as solar panels, wind turbines, cell phone batteries, and electric vehicles, among other electronic components. Additionally, it provides a comprehensive profile of the mining sector and government initiatives for the decarbonization of the economy.
Commitment to Sustainability and Global Decarbonization
Fernando Passalio, Secretary of State for Economic Development (Sede), emphasizes: “The demand for these minerals is rising due to the growing concern with global decarbonization. Minas Gerais has the potential to stand out as a leader in the global energy transformation, with technical capacity, human capital, and government support”.
Participation of Invest Minas at the PDAC Convention: Strategic Meetings and Promising Debates
During the event, the Invest Minas team participated in various meetings and debates, including a lecture on the panel “Why Invest in the Mining Sector in Brazil?”, coordinated by the Agency for the Development and Innovation of the Brazilian Mineral Sector (Adimb). In addition, they held meetings with representatives from the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) and potential investors, with the aim of presenting business opportunities in Minas Gerais.
Driving Sustainable and Economic Development in Minas Gerais
João Paulo Braga, CEO of Invest Minas, highlights the importance of the guide: “It summarizes our mining potential, public policies, and available services for investors. Furthermore, it highlights Minas Gerais’ commitment to global decarbonization and sustainability”.
The PDAC convention, held for 92 years, is recognized as the leading global platform for mineral exploration and mining, attracting over 1,100 exhibitors from around the world. Toronto, currently regarded as the global capital of mining investment, hosts more than half of the global headquarters of companies in the sector.

Se os governantes do Brasil fizesse investimento para transformação desse material todo aqui no país, teria uma gama tão grande de empregos para desenvolver melhor o Brasil, mas vende essa tudo barato compra o produto caro já transformado.
