The TS Ultra Electric Motorcycle Can Reach 200 Km/h and Go From 0 to 100 Kilometers Per Hour in Just 2.5 Seconds
Verge, a Finnish electric motorcycle manufacturer, unveiled its latest model, the futuristic electric motorcycle TS Ultra, at CES 2023. The vehicle has a look reminiscent of cyberpunk, but besides the finish, it has two extraordinary things: the battery energy capacity and the ability to accelerate faster than a Ferrari.
When we think of an electric motorcycle, we often think of limited range and speed that is not very exciting. This is because the battery that powers the motorcycle is usually quite small. While cars spread batteries throughout the floor, motorcycle enthusiasts struggle to fit a powerful battery into small spaces.
The Finnish manufacturer is taking a different approach, aiming to develop motorcycles with plenty of range and power, capable of surpassing high-performance sports cars in a race. And thus, it created the futuristic electric motorcycle, TS Ultra.

The Verge TS Ultra provides enough battery for a range of 375 kilometers. This is farther than a Fiat 500e, a Nissan Leaf, or even a Mini Cooper S E can go on a single battery charge.
Even though the maximum range is quite exciting, the goal of the futuristic electric motorcycle, Verge TS Ultra, is not exactly that, and the motorcycle makes this clear even in its more aggressive and athletic appearance, with a cyberpunk vibe.
It can reach 200 kilometers per hour and can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 2.5 seconds. This makes it a faster option than the Ferrari 488 Pista or the Porsche 911 GT3, as well as the Ferrari 812 Superfast.
The Verge Futuristic Electric Motorcycle Has a Super Powerful Battery and Supports Super Fast Charging, Reaching 80% of Its Capacity in Just 25 Minutes
In the acceleration list, the 2021 Tesla Model S Plaid held its top position with a time of 1.98 seconds, followed by the Ferrari SF90 Stradale with a time of 2 seconds.
With 201 horsepower, which is about twice the power of the engine found in the standard TS, which is already quite powerful. Because of this, the battery gained more space within the chassis and now uses a type 2 charger. When this charger is connected with the DC pins, it takes 25 minutes to go from empty to 80% of its charge.
In any case, the Verge TS Ultra is not a low-cost motorcycle due to its high level of sportiness, futuristic appearance, speed surpassing many Ferraris, and torque capable of producing more power than a diesel-powered vehicle.
The Verge futuristic electric motorcycle will be available for purchase starting in May of this year, 2023, with prices starting at €44,900, which is about R$ 250,000 when directly converted. However, the manufacturer has not stated whether it plans to market it in all markets.
