According to ANS, the subcutaneous contraceptive implant now integrates the Mandatory Procedures List, allowing women from different income brackets to access an effective and safe technology that was previously limited to those who could afford high out-of-pocket costs.
How the Innovative Contraceptive Method Works
The new subcutaneous implant consists of small rods applied under the skin of the arm. It continuously releases hormones, preventing ovulation and ensuring protection against pregnancy for up to three years.
