The New Factory of Rizobacter, a Company Operating in the Agriculture Sector, Will Be Built in the City of Londrina, in the State of Paraná
With an investment of R$ 40 million and the creation of 130 new jobs, the city of Londrina, in the state of Paraná will receive a new factory. The largest Brazilian unit of Rizobacter will be built in the municipality. The company is part of the Bioceres Crop Solutions group, listed on NASDAQ, a global provider of solutions designed for sustainability in the agribusiness sector. Details of the New Factory of the Multinational in Paraná
The project includes a new factory with two laboratories, a production warehouse, administrative offices, and a canteen, on an area of about 65,000 square meters. The venture is expected to generate approximately 130 new jobs in the city of Londrina, in the state of Paraná. Mayor Marcelo Belinati celebrated the arrival of the multinational in Londrina. In addition to the impacts on the labor market, he highlights that the establishment of the company also represents a new advancement in the industrialization project in the municipality.
According to the general manager of Rizobacter in Brazil, Nilton Elteto, the location of Londrina was also taken into account when deciding to invest in the city to house the production factory for the line of adjuvants. He explains that currently, the company’s headquarters is in Cambé and, with the expansion, it was decided to keep the company’s operations in the region.

The Construction of the New Unit
The president of the Institute for the Development of Londrina (Codel), Bruno Ubiratan, assesses that the installation of the new factory of the company in the municipality further strengthens the development of the PR-445 region. According to him, with a greater number of investments in the municipality, the creation of new jobs should also be stimulated.
The forecast is that the construction of the new factory in Londrina will be completed in a year and a half. Rizobacter is part of the Bioceres group, which develops sustainable solutions for the agroindustry. In addition to Brazil, the company also has subsidiaries in Canada, India, Ukraine, and seven other countries.

Sumitomo Rubber, owner of the Dunlop tire brand, announced that it will invest around R$ 1 billion to expand its factory in the state of Paraná, which will have doubled capacity for cargo tires by 2025, in addition to increased production of passenger vehicle tires. As a result, an additional 300 jobs will be added to the current staff of 1,600 employees at the plant located in Fazenda Rio Grande, in the metropolitan area of the state capital Curitiba.
Yoshinori Wakitani, president of Sumitomo Rubber do Brasil, states that they have great belief in the potential of the Brazilian market and hope that with the new investment at the factory, they will further consolidate their brands with Brazilian consumers, offering products that are benchmarks in safety and technology.
The factory located in Fazenda Rio Grande, in Paraná, operates at the top of its capacity, in three shifts, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, producing 18,000 units per day for automobiles, a volume that is expected to rise to 23,000 per day with investments by 2024. For cargo tires, current production reaches 1,000 per day, and it is forecasted to more than double to 2,200 per day by 2025.
