The selection process, regulated by Notice 31/2025, offers 600 spots in three areas of education and does not require an entrance exam.

Courses Offered by the University and Distribution of Spots
This initiative is part of the Open University of Brazil Program (UAB/CAPES) and includes three degree courses, with spots distributed as follows:
Degree in Music – 250 spots
Degree in English Language and Literature – 200 spots
Degree in Rural Education – 150 spots
The courses will be offered in physical hubs located in various cities in Rio Grande do Norte, facilitating access to higher education.

Although the program is predominantly online, students will need to attend certain activities in person. Check the cities where the courses will be available:
Degree in Music: Açu, Caicó, Currais Novos, Caraúbas, Canguaretama, Luís Gomes and Pau dos Ferros.

Who Can Apply?
The selection process is aimed at two main groups:
Basic Education Teachers (PEB):
For teachers in the public or private network, 30% of the spots are reserved.
It is necessary to prove employment and teaching experience.
Holders of a high school diploma (or equivalent):
Can compete in the following categories:
General Competition (AC)
Person with Disability (PcD) – 5% of the spots
Black, Brown, or Indigenous Person (PPI) – 15% of the spots
Selection Criteria
Unlike traditional entrance exams, admission will be based on curriculum analysis and Enem scores. Check how the evaluation criteria will work:
For Basic Education Teachers:
Teaching in the public network: 5 points for each year of experience.
Teaching in the private network: 2 points for each year of experience.
For candidates with a completed high school diploma:
Enem Score (any edition between 2010 and 2024), according to the candidate’s choice at the time of registration.

Flexibility with In-Person Commitment
Although the courses are in the distance learning modality, there are mandatory in-person activities, such as assessments, tutorials, internships, and presentations.
These activities are scheduled at regional hubs, generally on Saturdays or Sundays, to facilitate participation of students who work during the week.
