P-68, The Fourth Unit Of The Petrobras Replicants Series, Started Operation In The Pre-Salt In 2019, With Capacity To Produce Up To 150 Thousand Bpd And Process 6 Million M3 Of Gas Per Day.
Petrobras reported on this day (09/14) to the market, that its platform ship P-68, operating in the Berbigão and Sururu fields in the pre-salt of the Santos Basin, set a record for daily production on the last day 10/08, with a volume of 161,756 barrels of oil per day (bpd).
According to the state company’s report, this mark was achieved with the start of production of the ninth producing well (7-SRR-6D-RJS), surpassing the previous record reached in June of this year, of 157 thousand bpd.

To achieve the new record for oil production, it was supported by studies to increase the platform’s capacity, under the strictest safety conditions, with authorization from the competent external agencies.

The P-68 unit of Petrobras is an FPSO (Floating Production, Storage and Offloading) type platform, which started operation in 2019, with the capacity to produce up to 150 thousand bpd and process 6 million m3 of gas per day.

P-68 operates about 230 km off the coast of the state of Rio de Janeiro, at a water depth of 2,280 meters.
The FPSO was the fourth unit of the replicants series (systems with standardized designs) to start operating in the pre-salt.
The Berbigão and Sururu fields are located in the BM-S-11A concession, operated by Petrobras (42.5%), in partnership with Shell Brasil Petróleo Ltda. (25%), Total E&P do Brasil Ltda. (22.5%), and Petrogal Brasil S.A. (10%).
