The culinary sector in Brazil has been growing exponentially, providing countless opportunities for young professionals. Understanding this trend, Nestlé launches a unique opportunity: the free gastronomy course Nestlé Yocuta – Young Culinary Talents.
This program is specially designed for young people between 18 and 30 years old, opening a thousand places in its 10th edition for aspiring chefs from across the country.
Employability and opportunities in the culinary sector
The initiative aims to boost youth employability in the vibrant culinary sector. According to Rodrigo Maingue, executive business director for Nestlé Professional, the choice of the program's age group reflects the urgent need to adequately prepare young people for a competitive job market, especially those who begin their careers in informal positions in the gastronomy sector.

How can I participate in the free gastronomy course?
Interested parties must register by May 24th via Nestlé official website. The program is open to young people from all over Brazil, preferably those who are studying kitchen/confectionery technician or a degree in gastronomy in public institutions. The priority is to include young people in socially vulnerable situations, providing them with a platform to develop valuable professional skills.
Course structure and additional benefits
The free online course is strategically divided into several steps to maximize participants' learning and experience. The first phase will be held virtually in May, including ten classes spread over five weeks, which can be accessed via computer or WhatsApp. This segment will cover essential topics such as employability and barista techniques.
The 100 students who stand out the most will be selected for the in-person phase in São Paulo, where they will have the opportunity to learn directly from Nestlé Professional chefs and other renowned national chefs.
Practical experience in prestigious locations
In addition to theoretical classes, participants in the in-person phase will have the chance to practice their culinary skills in renowned locations, such as Cidade Matarazzo and Le Cordon Bleu in São Paulo, as well as at Gastronomia Preta and Escola Laurent Suaudeau. This is a significant difference, as it allows students to experience the real environment of haute cuisine.
Completion of the course and obtaining a certificate
Upon completion of the course, students will receive a certificate from the World Chefs Academy, ensuring international recognition of their skills. Additionally, they will be part of the YO SOY YOCUTA community, gaining visibility on the TAQE platform, a space dedicated to the employability of young chefs.
