Vivo presents the S60 line with a 7,200 mAh battery, 144 Hz screen, cameras up to 50 MP, and advanced artificial intelligence features.
Vivo announced in China last Friday (29th), two new mid-range smartphones from the S60 family. The devices enter the market focusing on autonomy, performance, and enhanced visual experience. The manufacturer unveiled a main version and a more affordable alternative called S60 Vitality Edition, both equipped with a 7,200 mAh battery, 144 Hz screens, and modern features aimed at photography, entertainment, and artificial intelligence.
The new models debut initially in the Chinese market and bet on specifications usually found in higher category devices. Besides the large energy capacity, the devices feature sophisticated finishes, water and dust protection, and 90 W fast charging.
Vivo bets on long-lasting battery as the main differential
The most evident highlight of the new generation is the battery. Both the standard model and the Vitality edition feature a 7,200 mAh capacity, one of the largest numbers presented by the manufacturer in this category.

Additionally, both devices offer 90 W wired charging, allowing for quick energy recovery even with a large battery.
The brand’s strategy aims to meet consumers who use their phones for long periods for work, entertainment, and content production.

Design combines sophisticated finish and resistance
Visually, the launches share practically the same structure. Vivo developed a special version called “Starry Sea,” which uses lithography techniques to create textured and reflective visual effects on the back.
Options in green and dark tones are also available. According to the information released by Tudo Celular, the finish uses cold-worked glass integrated into a seamless metal frame.
Another common point is the IP68 and IP69 certification, which indicates resistance against water and dust.

What changes between Vivo models
Although they share most of the features, the two smartphones have important differences in processing and the camera set.
The Vivo S60 uses the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor from Qualcomm. Meanwhile, the S60 Vitality Edition opts for the Dimensity 7500 chip from MediaTek.

The camera configuration also distinguishes the devices. The main model receives a triple rear set, while the Vitality version uses only two lenses on the back.

The manufacturer also highlighted AI-based features aimed at photos and videos.
Among the features presented are creative effects applied in 4K recordings, different lighting options for portraits, and tools capable of generating three-dimensional images from the device’s tilt.
These functions do not require additional accessories, such as special glasses. Furthermore, both models feature a 50-megapixel front camera, aimed at selfies and video calls with a higher level of detail.
Vivo S60 Brings a More Complete Photographic Set
In the main model, the rear camera combines three sensors. In addition to the 50 MP main lens and the 8 MP ultrawide, the device incorporates a 50 MP periscopic camera.
This sensor uses 3x optical zoom, allowing closer captures without significant quality loss.
Meanwhile, the S60 Vitality Edition retains only the 50 MP main lens and the 8 MP ultrawide, eliminating the dedicated zoom camera.
