Chinese automaker NIO surprised the car market eletric cars with its new launch, the ET9 SUV, which incorporates innovative technology to deal with adverse weather conditions. The car shakes snow off its body when it is covered in it, using chassis technology and a 900V architecture. Inspired by Tesla models, the ET9 has cutting-edge features such as steering by wire and rear-wheel steering, offering a total power of 697 hp. Projections indicate that NIO's new electric SUV should be launched in 2025. 

The electric car that defies winter with revolutionary technology

In very cold regions where it snows constantly, electric cars (EVs) face major challenges.

Thus, many vehicles They come equipped with climate control systems that preheat or cool the interior before a trip.

Tesla is one of the main automakers that stands out in this technology for electric cars.

However, when snow covers the car, the windows can be cleaned, but the doors and other parts remain covered.

With this in mind, Chinese automaker NIO is launching new technology for its main electric car, the ET9 SUV.

A video recently released by the company shows the ET9 literally shaking the snow away from its body, thanks to technology in its chassis and a 900V architecture.

NIO invests in technology and infrastructure in the new electric SUV

Another highlight of the ET9's bespoke architecture is that it allows for a flat-surface-like driving experience, even on adverse roads.

Its suspension adjusts the ride height and damping hardness instantly.

NIO has already demonstrated this technology in a video, where the electric car passes through obstacles carrying glasses of champagne without spilling a drop.

In addition to the highlights for the technology and architecture of the model, the ET9 brings elements from Tesla's famous Cybertruck pickup truck, such as steering by wire and rear-wheel steering. 

With two twin electric motors, the Chinese SUV delivers a total of 697 hp. 

In the Asian market, the NIO ET9 is available for US$ 113 thousand (R$ 560,24 thousand in direct conversion). Furthermore, the first deliveries are scheduled for the first quarter of 2025.
